Not even slightly interested in this at $6.99. Hell at normal prices it would still be meh. I guess I'm the idiot for already having a job and goyfs/bobs/thoughtseize/fetches
You're not an idiot. This product just isn't for you. This product is for people who left and came back. For those who didn't have jobs when those cards were in print and couldn't pick them up. For those who, like me, work crap jobs that make Modern cost prohibitive.
They're changing the art to maintain value of current collections, they've made it draftable, and they're running a GP with it. This should be about as far from Chronicles 2.0 with its impact as anything can be while still being a reprint set. I'm incredibly excited.
EDIT: Also, Fetches won't be in this. They said it stops at the end of Alara block.
BOOM. Goyf reprinted with better art and card frame.
Hopefully, bye bye 100$ card prices and meta warpage on small local tourneys.
I disagree that this goyf is better aesthetically. It will also probably be cheaper so if you like it already then you're one step ahead of everyone else.

Too many people are in love with this product already. Give it up, modern is not expensive, also get a job.
It's okay, every other player will be buying and drafting this, and it makes the game far more accessible. But keep living in the bubble, it's definitely moving further and further away from where Magic really is.

Gratz for owning 4x copies of every modern relevant card dude :). This product is not designed for you carry on.
Cool. I'd buy a box but not individual packs. I'm interested to see what warrants reprints. I'm interested in any General-worthy legends. New foil Azami and Zur are always welcomed. Also, tokens! I'm very happy about those because there will be Kamigawa Spirit tokens. Hopefully there'll be some special Cat tokens for Jedit Ojanen of Efrava but that's just my pet card.
Looks like 196/224 so we'll probably see 25 or so land/multi/artifacts
It's out of 229, but yes, ~25 sounds about right. I would sort of expect to see things that aren't yet in black bordered modern frames (non-foil) here, like Blood Moon, Ensnaring Bridge, and Intruder Alarm. This is going to be very interesting to see what kind of power is put into this set.
Everyone knew something like this was going to coming, great product, I'm sure the only issue will be players complaining about the cost and limited size print run. I'm happy about the whole thing and I accepted when I started playing magic that some cards would be more rare than others.

Too bad those cards aren't really modern playable.
nice, i'll have to order a case or 2, hope all 10 fetch lands get reprinted, did they tell us about any more cards being reprinted?
I would expect no fetch lands. The Onslaught ones are not Modern legal (and there was no word that they would reprint any previously not Modern legal cards). Aaron also said it goes up to Alara Reborn, so the Zendikar lands are not in it either.
There are no basic lands in the set.
Instead the land slot is filled by a foiled card.
Foiled vendillion clique/goyf with new art.
Imagine how much these will go for

I would've expected it as a common

Zen Fetch's won't be reprinted as they were after Alara.

That will be, by far, the most fun I could ever have at a tournament, short of maybe a Cube GP.
Tarmogoyf reprint is awesome, here is hoping for Clique and Thoughtseize
Paper: WUR Waffle Control, RG and U Tron

I'm guessing Bob, Clique, Thoughtsieze, and all the other spendy cards are going to see reprints.
I think Future Sight Goyf will probably drop to 60's or so. I like the original artwork better, though I'm not a fan of the frame.

We want to aleave the pressure of not enough cards for the increased number of players!
This will be very limited!
Good job Wizards. If you printed a reasonable amount of this, people would draft it every day for years. But no, too easy.
