You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
He hits all the right notes though: BW Vampire, 5 CMC for a decent body with a good ability, relevant protection and two "johnnylities"... Something about him just doesn't do it for me; maybe I just wanted him to be great too much; a good beater nonetheless I guess.
The Golgari Mythic though is quite nice, doesn't do much on it's own when it comes down unfortunately and at that CC it'll be hard to follow up casting it with something nice. Still though, I quite like it.
Deadbridge Chant is alright, can see it getting some play in EDH.
The Baron...not sure who they are targeting with it as any deck that would want it would much rather have Serra Ascendant. Yeah this is the "fixed" version for EDH, but no one is going to run the fixed version when they can play the broken one instead.
that vampire really should have been if you have 30 or more life OR opponent has 10 or less life it gets the bonus
Or how about:
If you have 30 or more life, ~ get's +3/+3
IF an opponent has 10 or less life, ~ get's +3/+3

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
I like that the Blood Baron has an additional "10 life or less" clause to prevent it from breaking EDH in half. Unfortunately it gimps him in general but I can still see him getting played since he's inherently resistant to the two biggest removal colors. I think I like him more than Obzedat since he's less color restrictive and hits for a bigger life swing.
MY only issue with the Blood Baron is his cost. The 5 drop is so clogged right now that he might not see a ton of play. I want to see him as a weaker 4 drop or a better 6 drop because he needs to contend with too many good guys at 5.
Theyre both pretty interesting.
One thing to remember with blood baron, if you can manage to gain 2 life otherwise she turns into a 3 turn clock for 5. Looks like a pretty good finisher for a b/w/x control deck to me

I think everyone needs to just forget about the "bonus" that the vamp gets if the life total difference gets big. It's a life linking pro black, pro white card. Makes it tough to block and remove. Stillmoon cavalier was a $10+ card in its day as a 2/1 for 3 with the same protections. In my opinion this is a better card.
Blood Baron of Vizkopa sucks..... its a win more card. If it activates you're winning the game already... bad card is bad.
Deadbridge Chant seems kind of busted. Can we go ahead and call this set EDH/Commander.Set ? zzzzzzzzzzzzz
How is a 4/4 for 5 with protection from Angel of Serenity and Restoration Angel AND Azorious Charm bad? Who cares about the other ability. Look at it without that.
"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
It's a 4/4 Lifelink with two /very/ relevant protections. That alone is worth 5 mana.

Yeah, I can count to 9.
...Did I unintentionally make a joke or something?

The golgari card... Wow that screams fun to me.
Yea he should totally be indestructable and a 10/10 always. Right?
No. Stop being spoiled.
Cards are nice though. Loving the enchantment.
I know I evaluate cards based off of one ability and not the whole thing. yup.
if you read it as 3WB, 4/4 Lifelink, Pro White, Pro Black what would you think of it? it has a random upside that helps finish out a game.
think of it as a giant Paladin en-Vec variant.
It is awkward that it takes up the same colors and CMC as Obzedat, though.

Perhaps you can run 2 blood barons and 2 obzedats? I dont know. They seem like the buxomest of buddies.
