Blood Baron is... disappointing. Two requirements really? I mean a 4/4 for 5 with lifelink and double protection isn't bad really, but it doesn't feel mythic. The second ability does but the requirements for it are a bit... ugh outside of multiplayer games.
Deadbridge Chant is unimpressive. Heavy cost for random results can sometimes be fun but this card doesn't feel mythic to me and certainly not my play style.
I admit my initial reaction to Blood Baron was more tied to his boost ability. Taking a step back the card isn't that bad.
My problem with the Baron is his cost as I feel Orzhov already has a good 5 drop in Obzedat. If he cost 4 mana and was a 3/4 I could see wanting him more in my deck because the protections he has are really good. I like the Obzedat a lot though and this guy just feels like he's trying to compete for the same spot in a deck.
The advantage of the Baron is his immunity to most targeted removal, while Obzedat just avoids sorcery speed removal. The upside for Obzedat is that he doesn't die to sweepers like Baron does.

Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
