I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
Interesting! Nice callback to Agony Warp; instead of getting 2-for-1s, it's better pure removal that can occasionally surprise your opponent in combat.
This card actually looks pretty solid. Assuming you're playing control right, you have a lot of cards in your hand, and this can straight up kill so many early threats. When your hand is dwindling, I suppose it can act as a weak pump spell, but regardless, this is pretty good.
This is weird removal. Stronger early when you have more cards in hand, weaker later on unless you just resolved sphinx's revelation. It'll be playable in limited, but most removal is.
1) -x is very relevant right now
2) it's not like this will ever be less than -3 or -2...and if it is you might as well play the overhyped blood scrivener
This card isn't terrible, will probably see some play in block, definitely not standard.
But it can deal with with varolz, lotleth troll, and tajic quite nicely. All things that need more answers in block.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
Then again, I play esper, so having cards in hand is rarely an issue.
This a little more conditional than agony warp, but in a deck full of azorius charms, thinks twice, and sphinx's revelations, its often at least as good.
You're kidding right? UB decks WANT cards in hand, and this actually kills obzedat and is a good, playable 2 drop removal spell unlike some of the other crappy options in standard at the moment.
Also, it kills falkenrath aristocrat. Really don't see anything wrong with the card, and I would be amazed if it saw zero standard play.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."

Ask yourselves, all of you, what power would hell have if those imprisoned here could not dream of heaven?

Seriously I don't like the card, It is way better when the game starts and gets worse as the game goes by, on top deck mode is just horrible it's even worse than a situational card, it's just a dead card! It may have some used it limited but I wouldn't be happy playing it since it lacks consistence :/
If you ever plan on being in topdeck mode, something tells me you're not much of a Dimir mage.

If, while running a blue/black deck, you ever find yourself reduced to topdecking, you're probably going to lose anyway.

Target Creature gets +X/-X, until end of turn where X is the number of cards in your hand.

On another note,
not the best card.this is actually pretty cool. Thought it said +X/+X at first glance. You stop that now.
It's fine for limited.

If Death Wind saw play, then any removal spell can see play.
Yeah, I'm a little curious about this as well.

Gotta diversify that portfolio.

The card is solid limited fodder. It'll rarely do what you really want it to do though.

I can't say the pump aspect is very exciting
