This vote might finally open WotC's eyes to how reviled the aura card type is. The only way I could support aura is if it had 2 for 1 prevention in the rules text - like say..
"When this card enters the graveyard, if it was never attached, destroy target creature."
I think data shows that auras are beloved by a lot of casual players; polls like YMTC are naturally skewed towards us more invested players. That's not a bad thing, but it's important to keep in mind.
The second part: that's some pretty cool design space! I'd like to see something like that in the future...

voted White, but at this point, anything but Red is good. I swear, I've read so many posts about people wanting a red enchantment to do un-Red things, like card advantage and even countering, it was making me sick...
Black definitely has a lot of potential for a powerful build-around-me enchantment!
My feelings exactly. I like Red and agree it needs a power-up,
but *not* at the expense of the Color Pie.
I was wanting u, but b is fine with me... lots of design space.
Lots of stuff has been said between now, and the second and 3rd post of this thread... but these too comments have irked the hell out of me for a day now.
People, want red to do "un-red" things because the color pie is unbalanced...
So basically you're going to hear that because red needs another slice. They're really good at doing 1 think *damage, but bad at everything else, extremely limiting for a color. Playable acceleration is in green, and red gets burst acceleration, but too good burst acceleration gets to be combo engines... and Red Land D is poo-poo'ed as a concept by too many people to expect to have a good spell much less a great 1.
So yeah expect people to want red to do "new" and exiting things especially since ALL the colors get some kind of card advantage standard (Standard being the future of match is some ways) being the color dominated by value and most people playing that format people want diversity in the color pie.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Thank you for bringing it up.
I want you guys to make a Black enchantment that does not pay life for cards or bring creatures from the graveyard back into play. We already have enough of each of those, and I want YMTC to do something new.

Red does need another slice, and they need to take it away from Green. Stupid gluttonous creature color. Seriously, just look at everything green has become capable of, it's nearly unbearable now.
You can't really compare blue control to black control. They are 2 different monsters. Black would like to break the opponent where as blue would like to control the opponent.
Black: "Oh, you would like to play a Thragtusk? Sure, I'll kill it, then reanimate it and attack you back with it. Good play."
Opponent: "But..."
Black: "Oh, and you also have to [insert black effect here] as well... Good play."
Blue: "Oh, you would like to play a Thragtusk? No."
Opponent: "But..."
Blue: "No."
Whereas my choice for enchantment:
Red: "Oh, you wanna play a Thragtusk? Cool. Skullcrack."
Opponent: "Ok...ow?"
Red: "Now I'll steal it, give it haste, and play Thundermaw Hellkite."
You forgot the best one!

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Or... Wubrg (since this is an enchantment{get back on track guys})... If an opponent would cast a Thragtusk, you may Thragtusk instead.
Flavor: "Of all the thrags in the world, you tusk into this one."-Thragtusk-
Will it be powerful? Probably not, but how many of the 'you make the cards' actually were? Also, I want to buy a shirt that says, 'Don't blame me, I voted land.' lol

You and me both. I voted white knowing that it probably wouldn't be popular, but I wanted to stay true to my favorite color and at least black won which would have been my second choice.
Here's hoping for a new sweet draw engine or The Abyss style enchant. Basically since it's a community made card and that happens so rarely I hope it makes a big splash in some sort of competitive deck (preferably legacy )
I would really be surprised if Aura won. That said, with the way Wizards has been trying to push Aura's, we might be able to do something really powerful if that won!
I can already see what some of the card text choices for a black enchantment will be, especially if it is voted to be non-aura which is what I must advocate.
Because I am unhappy my color didn't get chosen (although at least my wish of not-red came true), I am throwing my vote away with aura.
The aura I would want is too good to work anyway.

I voted Global enchantment, I lost land, I lost blue, I might as well use my cursed vote for the one people want the most...
Plus, I want a statis effect (I would've gotten one with Land or Blue), I better get one with this, although, I doubt we're getting another bob enchantment, because one already exists from M11, lol. And it's like a $1 rare...
Honestly, I'd love to see something like:
Essence Grip
Enchantment
When ~ Enters the battlefield, choose a color.
BB: Counter target spell if it is the same color as the color chosen,

Well now it's official, I voted global as it is likely to be more exciting than an aura. Don't know what effect we could have, though. Anything referencing the graveyard will be too near crucible of worlds.
I wonder what actually would happen if the choices were:
Enchantment (global)
Enchantment - Aura
World Enchantment
Legendary Enchantment - Shrine
Enchantment - Aura Curse
Enchantment Creature
I'm curious to see what would happen, but nooo, have to stick with "evergreen" stuff.
Anyway, I'm not sure. I happen to love Auras, they've got a cool flavor, and it's sad that Wizards seems intent on letting every other card type try and copy Auras (Creatures: Soulbond, Sorceries: Cipher, and especially Artifacts: Equipment...then again I do loooove those).
Still, I think a Black global Enchantment could be fun, I just hope it's not something boring and overdone like losing life to draw cards.
I voted non-aura, for 2 reasons:
* most aura enchantments go to the graveyard when their target leaves play and provide you with nothing but a lost card (we could design something that isn't like this, but I doubt it)
* I prefer cards that affect more than 1 card in play
The problem with Aura's is that anything spikey would be overcosted. Honestly, YMTC should always be johnny. R&D isn't stupid, they're not going to make another snapcaster anytime soon without their hands being tied.
Black Enchantment | BB Enchantment 1B, sacrifice ~: All creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn. For each creature that dies this way its controller draws a card. Activate this ability only any time you could play a sorcery.
