I definitely am excited to learn that the next block shall be, from its name, an ancient Greece/Rome-themed block, as M:tG has never yet had such a setting. That should be very awesome.
I also am pleased to learn the names of each of the guild champions, and especially pleased that Teysa is the champion for the Orzhov, which makes sense, considering her significant role in the events of the first Ravnica block. I am disappointed to learn that Massacre Girl is not the champion of the Rakdos guild, given how greatly she has been emphasized in the flavor text of various cards and the Uncharted Realms stories, unless Exava is her real name (I know that that is unlikely, but I still find it odd that a character who was so emphasized does not have their own card).
Has anyone yet added this new information to this set's wiki? If not, when may it be added?
I dearly wish that I could have been there, today, but Saturday sold out very quickly, and I am certain that tomorrow's event shall be equally exciting as today's was, so I am still very eager to experience it.
fire, as it can be focused (think of a flamethrower), but cannot be contained, as it burns everything that it touches if it is not controlled; it needs oxygen from the air to survive, but has no mouth, or any physical features; and it dances as it burns, but has no physical substance, and, thus, no body.

what gave it away? the fireball on the mana symbols, the fire surrounding the pyromancer, or the fact that her hair is aflame?
Quite honestly, a 5 year old could figure out this riddle.
The riddle on blistering barrier, while still pretty easy was 1000 times more creative than this one.
**** this site. I'd delete this account but that doesn't seem to be an option. The mods here are ******* useless ********s who ban people for simple ass normal words. **** them and **** this site.
Modern is better! No, Standard is better! No it's not! Yes it is!
Promos are playable stupid! No they're not stupid!
It seems every thread I am reading on here devolves into pointless arguing over who has the more valid opinion. Sheesh....
For those of you with actual insight, thoughtful content, and cool spoiler posts, thank you. I am not trying to be rude, honestly, but it is a little overwhelming scrolling through the same bashing remarks comment after comment. Just some (hopefully constructive) criticism from an outsider trying to break into this forum.
Maze's End... horrible horrible card. And it is a mythic rare? I hope I don't pull that crap in my pre-release. This is some Helvaut level of doo-doo Mythic rare.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
I was expecting Teysa to be, at this point in time, a granny with a jacked up leg yet we have the COMPLETE opposite here. Interesting.
High-ranking Orzhov magically extend their lives (before, eventually, becoming ghosts). Teysa isn't gonna be granny-looking for at least a hundred years.

If you do open one, it'll be in a land slot, and not taking up the normal rare/mythic space.

It's not even that, she's a pureblood of the Orzhov line. They don't show their age until they are well over 100.
Given, when it finally hits her, it's going to be the size of a truck and with about the same effect.

In addition, humans on Ravnica live a lot longer age-wise than humans on Earth.
Wasn't even Agrus Kos a little over 100 and still an officer of Boros on duty?

Actually, I think that Vorel is a merfolk. It seems that he have huge fin-like ears or similar structures behind his head. Not exactly like Simic Fluxmage, but similar.

Yeah, he was 120 years of age.

Many thanks to DNC at Heroes of the Plane Studios
Yep, several times already !
It was revealed during the Magic Online streaming, yesterday.
Merfolk.
His head has fins, like Merfolk of the Depths or Fluxmage. How somebody can see an elf in this is beyond me.
And yeah, I wanted the Simic champion to be Trifon as well. I mean, marine troll? Sea Troll would definitely want to have a younger an better brother.
But I suppose that they did not want two troll champions - and Varolz of the Golgari is a troll.
And a little etymology - Vorel means "eagle" in Czech ;-)
