I'm most curious about how the limited environment will synthesize and avoid the Too Many Keywords problem that they've acknowledged not liking in Time Spiral block....
There are ten new keywords before the first pack of DMaze is cracked, so adding more doesn't seem like the direction their innovation will go for that small set.
My synthetical thinking: the Gates!
What if those innocuous little dual lands become the core of unifying the block?
Some domain-like ability that rewards the player as they solve their way through the Maze by "opening gates" or something.... How cool would it be if those commons (and some more, even better Gates printed in DMaze) are windmill slam first picks in draft?

Modern-- Fish; Jund; Burn; Affinity; Mill Legacy--UGBFood Chain; UFish; UBRG Delver Commander--UB Sygg, River Cutthroat; W Isamaru, H.O.K.WRG Naya grouphug Enchantress 60 Card Singleton -- WB value drain UN- -- W Weenie (Wordmail on Knight of the Hokey Pokey is good beats)
Also I'm assuming that all the cards will either be gold or will have a guild watermark on them. Only 156 cards and 10 guilds, something crazy is going to happen.
I don't think we'll see an all-gold set, given the reaction to Alara Reborn. I've been thinking that each guild will have three cards in each of its colors--one rare, one uncommon, and one common. Ditto for gold and hybrid.
Then, each guild will have one mythic rare, presumably gold. This leaves us with thirteen cards per guild, or 130 cards.
Each guild could then have two more cards. One possibility would be one common in each of its colors. This would give us a total of 10 mythic rares, 40 rares, 40 uncommons, and 60 commons--150 cards. There are then 6 cards left, which could easily be an unguilded cycle of artifacts, one associated with each color and one associated with the colorless identity. Let's say these are uncommon.
This leaves us with 10 mythic rares, 40 rares, 46 uncommons, and 60 commons, which is a decent breakdown. Each color also has 16 cards--not bad, considering that Return to Ravnica had 28 cards per color.
It's possible that those two extra cards per guild would be split across common and uncommon. They could also be in gold cards, but I don't think we'll see them in hybrid. If they were split across common and uncommon, I'd expect that six-card unguilded cycle to be set to common rarity, giving us 10 mythics, 40 rares, 50 uncommons, and 56 commons. If the two additional cards aren't mono-colored, that leaves us with twelve cards per color. I find twelve cards per color unlikely, but possible, given the fact that each color would also have twelve hybrid cards available to it.
It would be a very cool throwback--though I doubt it'll happen--if the Invasion block split cards were reprinted. After all, Dissension had gold split cards, and they've said that they want to recapture some of the feel of the first Ravnica block without out-and-out repeating anything. That would leave each guild with one additional card--quite easily a common gold card--getting us into the 10 mythics, 40 rares, 50 uncommons, and 56 commons structure. It would also partially address the "twelve cards per color" issue in a way similar to hybrid cards. However, this one is simply me wishing and isn't real speculation.
While I'm on the topic of wishing, I'd be very happy if Refraction were a red/blue hybrid version of Reverberate for the Izzet League.
The gates certainly have some meaning, deciphering that meaning is the issue. It's called Gatecrash for a reason, of course. And now Firemane Avenger refers to whatever these "Gateless" could be. Not Guildless, mind you, from RTR. So they are a different concept all together.
I'm not sure where I read it, but I'm pretty sure that it has been hinted at or more or less confirmed that the Gate lands somehow will be more relevant/supported than they have been so far. Sounds exciting, both mechanically and flavor wise
_~;9384222']The novel suggests that we will most certainly get some vampires in UB. It resonates well with the story on Uncharted Realm the previous week. I really hope that vampire will be playable as a tribe.

"Gateless" is just what some guildless (the ones with particularly anti-guild sentiments) call themselves.
Since this set will have all 10 guilds, I'd like to see a WUBRG creature with one ability per color, something like 5/5, Vigilance(W), Flying(U), Lifelink(B), Haste(R), Hexproof(G), because all the creatures so far in Magic's history with that cost pretty much suck.
Who is Ral Zerek? I just started playing again a few months ago after taking a break for 10 years.
He is a U/R 'walker introduced in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. Not that much is known about him, except that he is probably affiliated with the Izzet and will likely get his first card in DGM.

What you are about to read the absolute truth about the deck that once nearly killed WotC's revenue.

How about a legendary one? With tusks and a taste for truffles? Seriously though, if Ral is a walker and we do get a legendary cycle one slot will be empty. Perfect place for that world ending Boar god that the Gruul are ranting about.

I would like a card to represent perhaps a leader of a rebellion that we have received clues to in RTR and GTC. I've been thinking about it, and I'm fairly certain that some type of rebellion is going to happen. See my thread with the theory here, for those interested.

If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
-The DgM Symbol shows us that there will be a Link between Ravnica and Agyrem opened by a huge Pulse of Energy wherefor Ravnica acted as a enormous Nexus to bundle the energy needed for that Pulse!
Can I have some of what you're smoking? It sounds awesome.
i would like to see 10 rare legends for each guild, guild champs (like Grozdan. Teysa Karlov. Ruric Thar. Trifon .Leonos.Zdenia. 1 izzet. 1 dimir. Troslon or Molander. Exava or massacre girl) and also the return of nepelins

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Ah, thanks for that. Hopefully he is a major piece of the storyline puzzle.

Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.

Many thanks to DNC at Heroes of the Plane Studios
The possible-Ral Zarek will take that spot.
Ral Zarek would take the place of the Izzet Mythic. He's not going to replace a rare.

How many Mythics in small sets? 15 as large sets?
