Choose One: Return target creature you control and all auras you control attached to it to the hand of its respective owners; or destroy target creature and you lose life equal to that creature's toughness; or return target creature with CMC 1 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.
SOOOOOO hot!!!!! First mode to protect a creature being targeted by the other player. Second mode, if you need to destroy a good creature that's killing you, very worth it. And the third mode just seems like limitless possibilities! I hope its real.
The Vendetta mode is a nice and flavorful inclusion, while the reanimation mode seems like it has some interesting applications in decks with a lot of utility one drops (think Deathrite Shaman and Thrull Parasite here). The first one is rather odd, though. It's not exactly card advantage, though it does prevent you from getting 2-for-1ed. Aura's aren't really a black or even Orzhov thing, though. This one's with Dimir Charm in the borderline category.
The real thing that gives it playability is that it's instant-speed 2 mana unconditional removal. Funny how the best ways to deal with Obzedat are via Orzhov itself.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
There has never been a land that enters the battlefield untapped unconditionally and taps for two colors unconditionally. That would be strictly better than a basic land

It's instant speed removal that kills all non hexproof creatures in the format. It's a steep cost, but it should see play just because of that. The other abilities aren't great, but oh well.
I could definitely see a Modern Teachings control deck running this. Vendetta becomes a ton better without the nonblack clause, and it can get back a Deathrite Shaman.

The first mode of this and the second mode of Gruul charm makes think there was lots of creature stealing going on in the FFL

That's a relief. Glad it cleans off Stab Wounds and Crippling Blights.
