a guy on craigslist posted these in my area and since PBM graphics prints and packages these about 60 miles from me i am going to try to buy or have him send me pictures , says they are all foil
Every one is wondering how a guy came to have these. A few ways he works for the PBM graphics company in Howard, SD and wanted to make some extra $$ so he stole them. Or they were a test print run and got them out of the trash when they were probably suppose to be shredded.
I removed the link, but there's no warning, since this was an inconsistency in the rules. For those who wanted to know, it was in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota Craigslist. -TK
This sounds really, really fake. What does "leftside red, rightside green" even mean?

Well i think if its a two color planeswalker it would be two colors like the others to some one who works there and doesn't know anything about the game describing the cards seems logical
The names all sound plausible to me, but obviously we need more evidence than just this.
If true: Maybe Domri Rade is the first hybrid planeswalker? That would explain why the person with these describes his/her color as left-side/right-side.
That can reasonably be described as "Leftside Red, Rightside Green". So that doesn't necessarily mean hybrid.
True, though the seller did apparently list the other multicolor cards as simply "gold." The more prominent display of both colors on the planeswalker frame may or may not be enough to warrant someone using a different description of the card's color(s).
Not sure what to think. All of the names are generic enough that anyone could make them up, except maybe "Domri Rade".
Almost hope it's not true just because that would mean no Kiora. We already have a RG Walker, I want to see UG.
I'm obviously a fan of Simic, and I would love to see a Kiora card, but I can't say that Ravnica is an appropriate place for her to appear. It's one of the least suitable planes there can be for someone whose "thing" is communing with and summoning massive undersea creatures. If/when Kiora finally comes to paper magic, it ought to be on a plane that actually has (visible) oceans. Like Zendikar, for instance. That would be just about the perfect plane for her to make an appearance on.
I guess it makes sense if the seller doesn't know anything (or doesn't know much) about magic, but then I question how someone with such minimal knowledge of the game got their hands on printed Gatecrash cards so early.
But hey, if you can get pictures, I may change my mind.

I personally prefer 75 islands. There is nothing than the look on your opponents face once they start trying to play around your counter magic and you know you're sitting on a deck full of islands and nothing else.
It also allows you to board in 15 cards and completely mess with their head between the boarded games.
You played JESUS?!?! I heard none of his guys stay in the graveyard, and once you think you have him beat he ALWAYS comes back to win within three turns. I like...WORSHIP him.
its obviously fake.. since if he only had foils he would have no idea that the cards came in foil and non foil versions.. wich means he wouldnt even have made it a point to mention they are foils. (then agian I could be wrong and maybe he has some knowledge on how sports cards work, with promos and inserts etc.. so i'll wait and see)

What? Your logic only applies if the person selling them knows nothing about magic cards to begin with.
He only mentions having Jace as non-foil and it may have been gotten through legitimate means as opposed to the rest of the cards.
if you have never been in PBM graphics and have any idea how they print or run an operation one guy will work on a machine all day watching foils being printed not knowing what the hell they are really and taking some home thinking foils are worth more than non foils trying to make a few extra $$
Hmm.... this has certainly piqued my interest. be sure to post pics if he sends em. the names make plenty of sense, and well.... i am just really hoping for an early spoiler

One guy would not risk his career and the legal implications of what he was doing to do this. On the career side, this would cost the manufacturer their contract and the individual his job. On the legal side, you better believe you can't take copyrighted materials from a client you've signed an NDA with and pocket them home.
Heck, Wizards has fired employees for such misconduct with the (limited) printing capabilities they (had?). Upperdeck lost the rights to Yu-Gi-Oh! over something similar too...
The names are believable enough and the it suggests a hybrid walker. If this were legit fake, the faker knows enough about Magic to know the two guild leaders names, that they're gold, and that Borborygmos already has a card and would need a new name, yet wouldn't know about hybrid. I want to believe!
well to tell you this place uses alot of man power people/ maybe the turn over rate is high at a place like this/ or an employee could get such things from a garbage can

But yeah this is a tad bit fishy, how did he get the cards and how much is this guy going top try and sell them for?
Pretty easy to understand I would think, we have plenty of cards that are multicolor but aren't gold. Now think about, I'm sure you'll get it.
True, I never even noticed that little detail in the frame of multicolored planeswalkers before
Almost hope it's not true just because that would mean no Kiora. We already have a RG Walker, I want to see UG.

Hrmmm... this does seem to be an inconsistency in our rules. Guess I'll fix that as I assume it would follow the same thing as the ebay rule.

Not to say Gatecrash could be different, but RTR guild leaders had nothing even close to their guild's mechanics on them.
