Well, this is not the Dimir prerelease card as all five of them have at least a power/toughness box on the GTC product page. Seems like the other four holiday previews are their respective PR cards though.
After squinting so hard to make out the number of lines of text on each card, i can officially say that Dimir and Boros don't get last week's preview cards as the prerelease card.
As for the other 3 cards, the Prerelease cards may just as well be Treasury Thrull, Rubblehulk, and Fathom Mage's cousin.
I'm sorry if this has been asked but 49 fourm pages? Nobody's time for that; so if someone can fill in my confusion.
Does the 'encoded' spell last only a turn, or does it stick for as long as the creature remains in play?
-If it sticks I hope they were very carful with what cards they put this on cause it can be brutal and broken.
It is a very interesting ability and can really be put to use. I can see them doing a mill effect, or even a draw spell. Any sort of removal or bounce on a stick like that will be... oh... I dont wanna say.
Though it would be cool to see a mill due to are new Dimir Legend!!! May help that bad boy out.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
i absolutely hate the art on this. the mechanic has a lot of potential. the card itself i feel a lot of you are overrating.
The card minus 1 mana and without Cipher is restricted in Vintage and Banned in Legacy. The power level is huge. Not saying its going to break a format but it seems very playable in standard and possibly even modern/legacy
but I don't think a Time Warp with cipher is to unbelievable.
While I don't think this mechanic is overly impressive, Time Warp with Cipher couldn't exist (unless unreasonably priced like 6UU) because it would be an auto-win if you connect. Your opponent wouldn't get another turn. Not something wotc likes to do. Temporal Mastery is about as far as wotc is willing to go with extra turns, and that's not saying much.
We already saw Sword of Feast and Famine do a good impersonation of Time Warp (using your mana twice, making them discard is comparable to taking an extra turn), and that caused Stoneforge Mystic to be banned.

This is true! The card can have some potental in the right deck, even if it's not standard. Picture this ability on an Invisible Stalker. Your basically filtering threw your hand every time he swings digging into your deck to get what you need. Plus it helps fule Snapcaster targets as well as beefing a Pike! ...oh and Deathwright Shaman lets not forget him.
Overall it helps your opponent out as well making it a risk. Not something you want against a burn deck. But it can find a home.

If that's your "casual," what on earth is required for "formal," a butler in livery shuffling the decks whilst a pianist plays Brahms in front of a tapestry?
True, but that's not usually a problem in Modern/Legacy (or even Standard after Gatecrash). Especially when you consider the fixing Keyrune which is a very good target for it. Or the fact that you can't get 2-for-1'd, and will usually get at least 2 uses out of it. Double Windfall for 4 mana seems good...

Stoneforge was an overpowered card to begin with anyway.
Keep in mind it is rather color intensive.

I hate the reserved list.
Mythic rares are fine.
