This strikes me as a pretty remarkable card. 3/3 flier for 4 is very reasonable, free lightning helixes even moreso. Boros with Lightning Maulers and other 1/2/3 drops for a turn 4 swing with angel clearing a path seems quite strong. Obviously we need more information on Boros' power level, but whether it's in a straight aggressive Boros deck or a Naya deck, I feel like this angel's going to see decent play.
Was really hoping to see Dimir's ability today. Saving the best for last I suppose.
I was expecting Boros today. I think we'll get Orzhov tomorrow and Dimir last. I think they're doing it in such a way that the revealed card shares one color with the card revealed the day before.
Anyway, I was planning to go Boros anyway, but this mechanic makes me hope that I'll lots of new toys for my red/white deck.

Also where exactly are these being spoiled? I checked the Daily MTG but none of today's articles have them.

Some people have speculated that these might be the prerelease promos, and I think that's looking very plausible... so far each one has been good enough to be strong in Limited and exciting to some casual players, but clearly aren't pushed hard enough to be the set's pack-selling Constructed all-stars. That's basically the exact level you'd want the prerelease promos to be at. I can buy that these may be them.
Battalion sucks in constructed, sadly. It's a win more ability in the land of Supreme Verdict.
Don't forget, it's also in the land of Lingering Souls. Odric and Windbrisk Heights have both seen play, and this is easier to fulfill. There's also no guarantee that it requires 2 additional creatures; others could have more or less.
So if you attack with three creatures with batallion 3 triggers go off and you get three free lightning helixes or whatever the others will be? Sounds good.
So enough Boros creatures attacking turns them all into semi-Titans? I like it. If these are the prerelease cards, I'm going Boros unless Dimir or Orzhov have something really amazing.
I can easily see this getting out of hand with Hellrider in a Standard Boros deck. Hope to see Battalion triggers on a Haste creature
By the way they are ordering the previews, I suspect Orzhov will be tomorrow, followed by Dimir on Friday. And the way they are costed so far, I also wouldn't be surprised if these are the prerelease promos

Lingering Souls is unplayable right now because of cards like Izzet Staticaster, and I don't foresee wanting to play Lingering Souls in an aggressive Boros deck anyway. It's possible that a white Boros card with this keyword will be good in a token deck, though.
...
I am disappoint
needing 3+ creatures to attack to do SOMETHING is a terrible keyword for aggro, barring 0 drops the first turn you could even use it would be t3 and thats with 3 one drops, most games itd be t4 with no interaction, so in most situations this keyword will be dead seeing as unless you are playing a goldfish or racing aggro you will be losing creatures. Aggro strategies in the current environment need single creatures that are threats all their own, not a building mechanic that will usually do nothing.
really not what I would have liked from the boros ability, much less one of our 4 drops.

It won't always be Lightning Helix. There will be other effects too. Like First Strike at uncommon or something.
This card is an all star in limited, I'm already prepared to phone it in and pick boros just for this guy. However in constructed it's lacking for aggro and still seems a bit weak for midrange. Tokens is where this card has to shine but competing with gems like sublime make it hard to imagine picking this, even with the huge tempo you can gain. Would've been a high chance at being a constructed card if it had been a 2/2 with haste instead.
Lightning Helix on a stick, wow. Here's to hoping for a couple good token spells. Even then, with token spells from Innistrad...yeah.

What you are about to read the absolute truth about the deck that once nearly killed WotC's revenue.

Why does everyone want to play it with tokens, when the obvious way of playing it is attacking with as many Battalion creatures as possible? The ability is very Boros, that's for sure.
As for the card, it doesn't do anything till turn 5, but when it does, it's ridiculous. It even clears the way for the attackers that might die in the red zone, making it more likely to activate on the following turns. And it gets just silly with Aurelia.
If there's some low costed Battalion weenies, all those attack triggers could add up quite nicely. My Thatcher's Revolt kitchen deck is quite happy... now, do I drop Hellrider or Goldnight Commander? Theme or playability? A good choice to have.
