I like extort a lot. It is Orzhov to the max. I think it has the potential to be extremely powerful.

It seems kind of weird to have something so specific keyworded.

I am not a fan of it.. it seems really simple.

Suuuuch a nice keyword, mana sinks are super hot.

Extort is extremely flavorful and a good ability to boot. Well done WOTC!

Holy Extortion batman, that's ability's basically a Ghost Council of Orzhova wrapped in a new ability just by casting spells.

Also preview card is like WTF, that's pretty good for a 6 drop in limited.

All hail the slow, grindy orzhov! I'll have some fun with Extort in multiplayer for sure.

I literaly giggled with joy when I saw this. Teneb got a new friend for the holidays!

Big question is:

Does this stack? Do you pay for each instance, or if you have 5 extort creatures out, do you just pay one and they lose 5 life?

Either way, it's a supremely cunning mechanic.

This could get really out of hand really fast. I like it.

Extort is complete garbage.

Worst guild keyword by a ridiculous margin.

Very Orzhov, but not really my style. It does make me want to bust out my Blood Artist deck though...

Extort's interesting. Definitely good for later on in the game when you've got a lot of mana to burn, and it can really make for shenanigans in any sort of multiplayer. I really like it. It's like playing Exsanguinate with every spell.

Seems like a pretty basic mechanic, but interesting. This one is certainly the least easy to figure out, except for the "lose life/gain life" part of it. Will the cost be different each time or the life gain be different? Who knows at this point.

extort is fine in limited and rewards getting a bunch of them, but it will end up leading to the worst creatures: 2WB 2/2 extort. That's basically what these cards will be. This preview is the worst yet. 6 mana needs to just do more than this. It's unacceptably weak in this era of magic regardless of whether any of us like it or not.

Can you stack the ability? Like play one spell and tap three mana to deal 3 and gain 3?
