To the people still speculating on Mana Drain, I think it's time we let that dream die. I had called forever ago that we'd be seeing either Mana Drain or Loyal Retainers in here, but both seems highly unlikely. We do need a monoblue card though and if they wanted to hit up P3K again, there's always Sun Ce or...um...horsemanship Thieving Magpie. Lu Xun? Something like that. Rhystic Study is definitely possible as well, but I think that would be really unimpressive. Based on the cards chosen, though, I'd expect to NOT see an extra turn card or a steal your stuff card (Bribery, Spelljack) since the set seems to be focusing on fun and utilitarian.

Xiahou dun (judge foil verson) sells under $20 on local market. But loyal retainers is used more widely, and "carry" the main purchase cost of the box…
So question, are the oversized cards solely alone? As in, do they also take up a slot in the normal deck? (IE: does it come with Grimgrin in Oversized and Normal form, or just Oversized)

$150 uncommon - should make this thing sell for $200 if it's true.
Its only a $150 uncommon due to availability, giving 4-5 of these to every LGS will definitely shatter that. I highly doubt there are more than 4-5 people per LGS who feel the need for that card.

xiahou dun, the one-eyed is a prime example of why that might not be true. His promo is around 20$ or under. Depending on how rare this arsenal is they may have accurately priced the product. Now of course hype at first may drive it way up of course, but if you go with Xiao pre-promo at 200+ to his judge promo of being under 20$ you can see where I am getting at.
Umm...if that proposed list is correct, then holy ****. Retainers was a $150 card (English). Diaochan is another $100+ card in English. Sylvan Library and Scroll Rack are not only amazing EDH cards but also legacy cards. And I checked, Scroll Rack is NOT on the reserved list for some reason. Dragonlair Spider aside, this list is pretty ****ing incredible.

If that's true I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Desertion keeping it's original art, as I love Richard Kane Ferguson's artwork!
You and me both. And no one else. People hate his art for some reason. I really want Desertion and Scroll Rack to have the original art. Wish Sylvan did as well.

Dudes, I have a question: Isn't Sliver Queen on the reserved list? Wouldn't a reprint of Sliver Queen breach the reserved list? Am I somehow mislead on this?
Someone, please, enlighten me!
Sliver Queen can't be printed in any deck-playable style. However, because this SQ is oversized, she can be reprinted. They can never print her at normal card size.

Is it me or again are they printing another PK3 card that no one was asking for? I mean when FTV:Legends was anonced everyone wanted Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed . With this coming out all I have heard asked for was Imperial Recruiter and instead they give us this....

That's not true. We already have Collector's Edition and Pro Tour decks in gold border, so there's zero reason they couldn't print the hell out of any reserved list card at normal size, as long as it's not tournament legal. They could even print billions of foil duals or even power in gold border. I'm sure casuals would buy them.

I wouldn't say people are disappointed with Loyal Retainers, since even though it isn't Imperial Recruiter, it too it pretty hard to find and has price tag of 125€, compared to recruiter, who has 220€ price tag.

Also modgaming Bur setups is kind of treading down a dark path
the point is this is the replacement for the x-color decks they were making ok. they made commander the fun thing to do and also more aviable to every one sweet. to make a product that is $79 herms ok i guess then to say there is x and x old cards in it umm not cool. i have to say i love commander im happy they made all these new cards but the new block is just a slap in the face form suporters.
Well...at least people will not feel totally cheated. Loyal Retainers is a good card.
Sadly, it just spits in the face of everyone who waited to see what was in the product before they wanted to buy it. And that is the crux of the problem. Only if you were willing to gamble on this back when it was first release before we knew really much about this product could you get it for MSRP. Then we found out about the limited run of the product, so demand skyrocketed. Now that a desirable and expensive card is in the product, it is all but impossible to get one for MSRP [or even within triple].
So this is a giant middle finger to people who are not risk takers, with insider help, or loaded with extra spending money.

I admit I would prefer a recruiter for norin but its a loyal retainers, don't complain.

I'm sure people would have complained if they put new cards in this box set. They aren't replacing the yearly commander decks.
