So the expected has been confirmed by my local comic shop. It's delayed from October 31, Halloween (next Wednesday). That pushes it back into the timeframe of the new line, Vengeance something #1, so that's guaranteed to be significantly delayed as well.
I don't understand the problem.. I mean it isn't like the comic juust came out. IDW should start being more consistent. :/
Did we go thus far to release and not know what the promo was before? I recall knowing about Standstill weeks before I received my comics.
Edit. It's been brought to my attention that this is not true.
#4 and ST#1 had different release dates.
And ST#4 is not slated to come out within the next two weeks. That rules out the 31st as the release date.
If you knew about Standstill promo for weeks before you got your comics, three questions. First, when did you get the comics, (two) before or after the spoiler of the promo? Now third, if you knew for weeks before release then why didn't you say anything about it here? I know that no one knew what the promo was going to be other than the cover art so I highly doubt you knew at all otherwise there would have been no insane rush to acquire the promo as stores underordered the comics.
Hasbro/WotC is the one with the cover art and card before IDW is even able to attempt to ship the comics out much less have time other than release day to know what the promo will be, same with the lateness of the comics. It's not IDW as a whole but on Hasbro/WotC's end.
As for same day release for #4 and ST #1 being out the same day that would be IDW's attempt to push them out just to be on time otherwise they get penalized for lateness by Diamond Distributor who happens to be the sole major distributor of comics/graphic novels. However the lateness is on Hasbro/WotC's end as they are the one who makes the promo cards and if they're late IDW has no choice but to drop pants and bend over.

I saw the spoiler a week or two before the comics arrived at my LGS.
Those stores probably share the same distributor. Ockham's Razor.
Of course they do. There is only one comic distributor, so everyone has to have the same one. At one point they were sued for being a monopoly, but it was then discovered that the reason they're the only distributor is because no one else actually wants to do it.

As I know Malfegor is Bolas servant, works Sifa Grent for Bolas to?
Probably not.
If I had to put my money anywhere, I would say Sifa was a Malfegor worshipper pre-conflux and once she ascended she beat feet out of town.
In essence, I think Malfegor's appearance might be a flashback. After all, we don't see Dack on the cover.
Yes, Diamond Comic Distributors is the only comic distributor. I guess there's an off chance a game store that didn't have a Diamond account would be ordering the book through Alliance which is a game distributor, but it's actually just a subdivision of Diamond (Used to be its own company, but was bought out).

I don't see any reason Bolas couldn't be involved in this comic. Grent gives off the vibe that she's really not the head honcho (in fact, I think she's let that much slip).

What? No, she's had every opportunity to show that she's the head honcho. I don't know where you're getting your ideas from.
Aside from that, I seriously doubt Bolas is going to be involved in this in any meaningful way.
So the comic was released today..and NO explanation about Malfegor's appearance. Disappointing.
Was it? From what I'd understood, it had been pushed back.
But if it did come out and there was no explanation tendered, it just means that it takes place prior to the Conflux.

Uh what. I just checked IDW's website and saw nothing about Spell Thief #4. I asked last week at the local comic book shop and was told it was delayed past Oct 31 (today).
I don't know, I read them online on my IPad app, so I have no idea about promo cards or store dates. Anyway, Spell Thief #4 was at least released in digital form today.
Having been to my local comic shop and gotten issues #2 and #3, which I wanted super badly (and having been surprised to see extra copies of #3 out - the one with the Standstill promo; I got it for my pal), I can add credence to the "no issue #4" claim by saying that my shop didn't have it either. Good stuff, #2 and #3, though!

It's being published October 31st.
That Site also states that path of vengeance #1 has the same release date. Considering that's the next issue after this one, I doubt that's correct.
Issue 4 of the first four and Spell Thief #1 came out on the same day.
Heroes and Villains Comics and Games
Watch "The Giant Sharkgate Chronicles"
Watch "Eating Made Easy"
Oh, I didn't know that.

IDW is notorious for having an unreliable shipping schedule. It isn't just Magic, but most of their books.
Magic probably has it mildly worse since they have to coordinate the promos that get printed with it.
Hmmm... Every store in this area that carries this comic got them the same day, including the Comic and Games store I work at.

Please explain or be labeled a troll.
Just because she's bossing some vampires around doesn't make her the mastermind behind the whole story arc. I see no reason it's not possible.
