Wow, so they thought Broodmate Dragon wasn't bonkers enough- Oh wait, yeah, these days.
The Azorius Keyrune is ok.
Codex Shredder is probably ok for mill since it's a one-drop, and the ability to trade itself with another card is nice.
Volatile Rig is.... a bit of a mess..... You need to lose the flip at the right time lest you're doomed. 'sides, considering that people may want to just kill it with blocking, the first part is a bit overkill...
So uh, I'm too lazy to read the entire thread. The first thing I thought about when I looked at the wurm was Birthing Pod. Can anyone tell me why it does/doesn't belong?
Birthing Pod rotates out of Standard when RTR comes in, so you only get to play with this guy in Modern, Legacy, and Vintage. It sees no play in Vintage with Stony Silence being a major player and the card requiring 3-4 mana to plunk down. Modern Pod decks tend to revolve around infinite creature-based combos, so 6 cmc goodstuffs creatures don't fit. Legacy Nic Fit, which sometimes plays Pod, might play this guy.
All the people saying Armada Wurm is overpowered surprises me. I mean, it's good and I can easily see it getting played, but it's not quite as good as some of the titans.
Combine this with Deadeye Navigator, for a 5/5 trample wurm token for every 1U. Populate needed better tokens than overcosted birds + centaurs, anyway.
Combine with deadeye navigator needs a shorthand it's true of so many things. There are very few cards deadeye navigator doesn't just break stupid. Even in just monoblue.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
2 5/5 trampling wurms of 6 mana, that's a great deal right there. It may not have the evasion or the creature type of Broodmate but it's got real potential plus it's in the right colors for Restoration Angel.
Volatile Rig seems like so much fun to play. I also like how it deals just enough damage to other Volatile Rigs in play to potentially blow those up as well.

Whenever I use Deadeye Navigator, I just say I'm Naving X thing, and boom, there you are. I will try a bant list and see if I can't Nav my Wurm ;).

Decks
Commander
Ezuri, Renegade Leader (Aggro/Combo - Favorite) Skullbriar, the Walking Grave (Sac and Grave hijinks) Azusa, Lost but Seeking (Landfall hijinks) Kaalia of the Vast (Heavily modded)
Flying and being black kinda makes the dragon better.
Being black doesn't mean anything in current standard.
There are 0 removal spells that specify 'nonblack creature'.
Anyway, Terminate was legal alongside Broodmate...and whatever removal the creature dodged, the token didn't.
The two creatures are apples and oranges, in entirely different formats.

Is anyone thinking of tutoring for the wurm via beastracker? I feel like with slime, sigarda and this, there might be enough of a toolbox in GW to start including the tracker.

I'd rather just include another copy of the Wurm or Sigarda, really. The Tracker doesn't provide any card advantage, and it's a lousy deal as a creature.
Very heavy on creatures, but there are a lot a sweet interactions between the cards, and with Yeva, Restoration Angel and Selesnya Charm, it can be very tricky for your opponent. You are playing cards like crazy and drawing a bunch more out of Elvish Visionary and Mentor of the Meek (and Restoration Angel that blinks the Visionary and/or causes a creature to trigger the Mentor's effect again,) so you are rarely out of fuel. I haven't tried it against anyone yet, so I don't know how strong it is, but it sure is fun!
Also, turn 3 Armada Wurm is not out of question

Looks fun and powerful. I can't wait to play with the raw power of the wurm.

The artwork..... I don't know what to make out of the artwork
I'm not 100% sure, but I think I like the creature. As far as the artwork? LOLZ it's solid
Why did you play Confusion in the Ranks ?! and Hunted Dragon ?! It's so CONFUSING!
It's terrible, is what it is. Should never have been green-lit. The card, though... bonkers.
meat's Trade Corner
haven't they shown all the tokens already? There isn't a green and white wurm token, so unless there's a hidden token something doesn't seem right...

The token isn't white.
(Which also makes the card happen to be slightly worse against Ultimate Price.)
the card picture said green and white last night, it was changed apparently, so that wasnt the actual card just a mockup or whatever.
But I still want a playset for my G/W token deck for States.. I hope the price doesn't get crazy.
