I know Mana Leak is gone but I think we'll see a nice little 2 cmc soft counter that will hit in Return to Ravnica. But I am in lurve. Rewind and Mutilate? This is shaping up to be one powerful standard this year.
You had said there'd be no more lords, is this to include red as they don't have one yet?
Some people are hard to please, I've only been correct about... I dunno... every one of the cards I wrote about on this thread... and I still get no street cred around here!!
Unfortunately red has no lords. No goblin lords, nothing.
I think the most disappointing thing about red in this set is that they printed stuff like Fire Elemental which is a lazy vanilla 5/4. But then Fire Servant would have been far more dynamic. For those asking, Red lacks a cheap 1cmc removal like Shock. Searing Spear is the most cost effective removal at common, next up is Flames of Firebrand at uncommon and then you have a reprint of Turn to Slag.
Phyrexian Hulk is getting reprinted too btw. This set is just lazy.

That's too bad that they gave us no 1cmc burn, especially given that this is a core set. no goblin lord makes krenko pretty weak once the current goblin lord rotates, but then again maybe they didn't want a 3 month period of 2 goblin or even red lords and RTR could get one, ya never know

I guess what I don't understand is they reprint Elvish Archdruid, give us yet another Merfolk lord, but don't reprint Goblin Chieftain in a set with a 4 drop Goblin legend that just screams for him.
It does kind of make you wonder if this was just a cruel joke by WotC or if they throw darts at a wall to determine what cards to be printed.
Well, I take whatever they give me to play and am thankful for that much but this one really has me scratching my head.

From a limited perspective, if you reprinted Goblin Chieftain (which is a bulk rare and no where near 1st pick material) and picked up Krenko, having two of those out at 3cmc and 4cmc at the same time would end the game almost immediately if you have access to Krenko's Command. Maybe they didn't reprint the Chief from that point of view.
Also maybe Krenko himself is meant to be a 'Lord.'

The Gods of Wotc work in mysterious ways.
Or they are printing goblins in RtR?

Not even limited, it applies in Constructed as well. T3 Chieftan into T4 Krenko is actually just backbreaking, especially since Cavern of Souls is in the format.
I believe the Merfolk Lord is part of a cycle, just we're only getting the Merfolk in M13 and the rest in RTR. So I believe we'll get our Goblin Lord in RTR.

Thus far, only Battle of Wits and Mutilate have been confirmed.
Everything else has not been confirmed yet. (And many of the cards you are spoiling have been speculated on the number crunch already...Mutilate being a big one)
You haven't posted a single new card, only reprints. (Blue is not the only color that gets a new lord according to MaRo...)
You are hating on the set left and right.
These are the reasons people are finding it hard to believe you.

And only WU can be pushed. Wouldnt want blue mages to complain about not being able to "out think" everyone else.
White got smashed in M13 don't know what you are talking about. At least white control, it lost most of its tools.
Blue lost its low cost counterspells and doesn't have a can trip.
Green was pushed hard, Black has had its control elements returned to it.
Red has an awesome dragon... but had its low cost burn and creatures hurt.
I honestly feel they were trying to decouple U/W with the set Blue isn't really gaining a lot from paring with white in M13... and an White not a lot from blue.
I suspect white will gets its control elements from Aurozus in RTR.
From the mtg.com article that spoiled it.
We're discussing the D13 card.

Right, which means that the images I've seen were somehow wrong. Thus, I'm asking what all the cards with new art AND flavor text are.
Thus far, I've seen Arms Dealer and Fog Bank had new flavor text, and now people are saying Mutilate does as well. Any others?

The full visual spoiler is being revealed midnight Eastern time tomorrow?
Well, it became standard with the last sets to have the full spoiler posted on Monday before the prerelease. I cannot see why M13 should be different.
