The pic next to the Howl of the Night Pack HERE
"Search your library for up to X basic lands, where X is the number of lands you control and put the them into the battlefield tapped. Then shuffle your library."
Since it goes for basics only, I think many of us will skip it.
Not even in Commander, unless we're pivoting a monoG decklist.
Who are you kidding? It easily enables for 5cc and it's quite a good mana fixer keeping in mind that the M13 and RTR blocks will be stuffed with gold goodies.
Not good in commander? Tell me you're only running utility lands in commander, I dare you! This spell, cast when you have around 8 lands, will practically thin down your deck allowing you to draw your good stuff afterwards. Not to mention you should be getting at least 5 lands for 5 mana (in case you don't use ramp creatures). 8+ lands for 5 mana is borderline broken already.

If the formats are slow enough to let you double lands on turn 5, your scenario is quite legit. But I expect nonbasic lands to be played enough, especially if the gold goodies will require three mana colours.
In Limited, I would play this but I would pray not to pull it out of the booster.
In Constructed, a friend pointed me out that it enables Turn 6 Primal Surge, so it could be playable somehow.

I run a BGGlissa, The Traitor and I play only 5 Swamps + 5 Forests. I play about 25 nonbasics so yeah, this would make an awful spell in my deck.
I also run a monoU deck where nonbasics are 6-7 so yeah, I think only monoG Commanders will see this card playable.
So that mana curve graph means it can't have a cmc of 6 or higher (because the hydra, primalcrux and howl of the night pack would fill those three spots)? Though, i'm not familiar with the game, so i could be wrong.
actually... no.
if you see the image again, the sum of the cards in each CMC is 36. wich is the number of cards in the deck - lands. Probably the graphic is not counting the ones unlocked.... so the speculation that it is 8G is still up.
I don't think it's either 4G or 8G. I'm thinking 6G, based on the placement between a 6 drop and Howl of the Night Pack.

The only good thing about this post is the edible chocolate roaches they gave out! Mmm mmm!
*crawl crawl*
Wait a minute, edible roaches don't crawl! EDIBLE ROACHES DON'T CRAWL!
That puts it out of the range of usability, unfortunately, unless you can cheat cast it. But, pulling 9 lands when you have 9 lands out of your library will definitely thin your deck.
anyone saying 9 cc will make it unusable has not sat down at my groups edh table. that card will get the crap played out of it even at 8G.
if it were 4G i feel armageddon would almost need to be an acceptable card. i wouldnt be upset if it were the cheaper on but i would probably start packing more land ramp hate which sadly is almost never fun for anyone.

I'm in this line. Since the cards appear to be sorted by CMC from left to right, it's between Rampaging Baloths and Howl of the Night Pack so it's very likely 6G.

It could also be 5G since it's after a 6cmc card and before a 7cmc card. It doesn't really look like that 6G on the Howl of the Night Pack either. It definitely isn't 4G because that's Indrik Stomphowler's cost below and it doesn't look like that.
I felt a great disturbance in the force, like a thousand decks across several formats suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has been printed

Don't know the cost
From the thread title, I was expecting the card text to be:
Search your library for a land and put it into play. Epic (For the rest of the game, you can't cast spells. At the beginning of each of your upkeeps, copy this spell except for its epic ability.)
It would work OK with Helix Pinnacle, I guess.

If 4G, you could do the following
Turn 1: mana dork
Turn 2: rampant growth
Turn 3: cast this card with 4 basics in play, getting you 4 more
Turn 4: cast Iona. Win
Assuming there are no counters along the way of course

Also assuming the opponent is monocolored but then again there is removal in artifact form as well, so no... not really impressive. And by the looks of it, it's 5G

For what it's worth, the "Unreleased and New Card Discussion" thread in the Commander forums on this very site is blowing up over this card. Everyone thinks it's broken, and is either in love, or sees it as such an unfair boost to ramp decks that they're threatening to run MLD.

Ok, I was just using Iona as an example. You can cast any huge creature or spell very quickly and it doesn't have to be green.

Draft it on Cubetutor!
This will be an amazing EDH card ;D
Current post- Grand Prix KC Modern Postmortem (7/7/13)
EDIT: Given that seds et al have noted it's 4G, it looks like ramp will be just fine even if no Prime Time reprint?

Yeah, I agree - but that would be so ugly. 9 casting cost would be virtually unplayable.
