Damnit, wizards. What the hell is wrong with them? They've got a quota for 1 mythic timmy dragon per set, and it is ALWAYS completely uninspired and completely unplayable in standard. I mean, we could have a block set in chicago in the 1920's, and they'd still find a way to print a crappy 6 mana 5/5 flying red dragon with some generic french vanilla ability stapled onto it that they chose at random by looking at what hasn't been done yet, and phone it in.
Phoning it in, hard.
I can't wait until we have;
Fedora Dragon4RR
Creature - Dragon (M)
Flying T: Fedora Dragon deals 3 damage to target creature or player
5/5
"Now you're on the trolley"
Such lame design. A tweak here, a tweak there, and we have a dozen nearly identical dragons. MAKE AN INTERESTING, CREATIVE RED MYTHIC CREATURE! Such a cop-out.
Obviously an insane limited bomb but like all recent dragons unlikely to make any waves in constructed which is a pity given how this outclasses the original dragon badass Shivan Dragon in just about every way.
I know the issue has come up before: Why is there a dragon on Innistrad? I just don't feel like dragons have a place in this environment.
Yep, we talked about it in Magic Storyline. After all, it's a Multiverse, fantasy world with dragons, grifons... and many other creatures that don't fit ISD setting.
I lile the card. Another mythic. They are going to spoil all mythics this week, aren't they?

How many other creatures printed in Innistrad don't fit the setting, in your opinion?
I wish they would print some dragons that are worth playing... This cards ability is good/better then previous dragons but I can't see it staying on the battlefield long enough to be used. Maybe post-rotation if M13 doesn't create a new set of 5 6cmc ulti-bombs
Phone-it-in Dragon4RR
Creature - Dragon (M)
Flying 2RT: Search target players library for a card and exile it. You may have have Phone-it-in Dragon gain an activated ability or keyword ability from that card. Then that player shuffles his or her library and Phone-it-in Dragon loses this ability.
5/5
Look, no need to keep creating these any more, *please*.
Appeal to timmy by creating new and exciting giant monsters instead!
Make Lorthos, the Freshmaker. Make legendary robot pirates.
Make more eldrazi, make more cosmic horrors, make non-french vanilla dragons.
Ok, so now the horror-themed set has 2 dragons instead of one. I guess they couldn't just leave poor Balefire Dragon flying alone in the sky. Unfortunately, dragons on Innistrad still don't make a whole lot of sense to me.
On a completely unrelated note, I would love to open this in my sealed pool at the prerelease along with Devil's Play.

Jace bounce was a -1. He could do it 3 times before he would die. Liliana can only do it once before having to do her +1. Overall very disappointed with her unless we get Madness.
Crap, you're right, she's not as good as one of the single most overpowered cards ever printed. Unplayable!
I really just don't understand at all why there are freaking dragons on this plane. It just seems SO out of place that I'm kind of sad that they feel the need to shoehorn the creature type in.
To a large extent, I agree, but I think that all things considered, they did a good job designing the dragons in such a way that they LOOK like they'd fit in :P.
This particular dragon looks so fun though :P. That is a sick activated ability, and I love the flavour text <3.
Pssst there is a tribe that is specifically tied to the moon, is partially red, and would've loved something like this. It also fits into Innistrad.
And it's not Dragons. Yeah I know WotC wants to cash in on the success (or predicted success when this was designed) of the dragon-centric Skyrim, but jeez at least make them fit a bit better.

You've got a rat in your walls, and cheese won't solve anything.
When I saw this, I audibly yelled "NO MORE DRAGONS!"
Then I read it, and it honestly is one of the most beautiful cards I've seen. True, it makes NO sense. But between the art, and the fact that it's a "good" guy, I like. Plus, Why battlecry only once?

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
While I have no idea where it will see play, and I have nowhere to use it, I love this card. Time to start collecting these along with Balefires. I for one hope that Avacyn Restored has another (hopefully more easily playable) dragon with an amazing art.
Phoning it in, hard.

Ah yes, its wizards, with their latest design. Scribble it in, fast.

Of course, I'll never actually play this card, but I will enjoy looking at it from time to time.

This thing, just like Balefire, is gonna break limited to pieces and do nothing for constructed, the worst kind of card.
