after the spoiling of Vault of the Archangel I believe we will be seeing enemy colored ability lands a la Gavony Township and Moorland Haunt. The BW one gives all your creatures lifelink and deathtouch for 2BW

Sorry? You'll have to be clearer as to what the heck you're talking about. But a land that gives all your dudes lifelink and death touch is pretty insane.
well thank god... 1 of the few things i was worried about with this set, them NOT printing enemy colored lands.(especially after they spoil sorin). i hope this actually is a cycle and not just cus b/w is sorin.
even though im not a fan of this particular card(probably because i have still yet to like this creature based game wizards is trying to turn magic into) hopefully the other enemy lands will be more to my liking.
well a new thread was made, im sure this one will be closed.
I erased mine after I saw yours, sorry about that.
But this land is pretty good in my opinion, it makes you a lot less weary to trade big guys because you gain tons of life or better yet trade your small guys for their huge guys.
Not that good? How is it not good to make every one of your mediocre creatures masters of combat in addition to gaining you life just for kicks?
4 mana works against the whole point of the kind of deck white/black would be.
BUT in it's favor is the fact that this can still be a factor for the last push.

Yeah this is nutty good, esp with Moorland Haunt. Yikes... I think people see the high activation cost and fail to realize that by the time you're able to activate, you're going in for an alpha strike to win or threatening their attack. This will swing games even if the plan fails.
Recent discussions here and elsewhere have made it clear that there seems to be a group of players who consider blue and control synonymous, as if they somehow started playing a game with four identical and "bad" colors that do nothing interesting because they just "turn men sideways" and then true, glorious blue, the only thinking person's color.
EDH decks
Marath, Will of the Wild
Sygg, River Cutthroat
Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer
Marchesa, the Black Rose
Seeing as almost all of the first land cycle have made their way into top tier standard decks at least once, I can't wait to see what other standard smashing lands they give us. I mean wolf run alone had a deck built around it so I expect good things from the rest of this cycle.

The activated ability seems expensive (tap 5 lands to activate), but it might be useful in some decks. Lifelink+deathtouch is incredibly powerful and every creature from your side receives the buff!
I love enemy colored cycles, I hope the red/blue and blue/green lands will be useful

sounds like that deck would have the worst manabase ever.

I can understand where you're coming from, but I feel like this card is literally for any deck that can establish any semblance of a board presence. I feel like it will make you pull far ahead if you're already winning, and it will dig you out of a hole if you're behind somehow.

MaRo said that there are some lands in DKA that are part of a cycle. So probably we will get some lands now and the rest of the cycle in AVR.

Finally some good cards in this set instead of overcosted junk mythics.
