The snake-charmer definitely seems like a Legendary Creature of some sort. I'm not sure why, but she seems to have a distinct personality in a way that generic creatures don't.
People dismiss the dynamically painted and mood-centric Sorin as "boring".
People dismiss the perfectly lit and greatly composed snake girl cause "omg computer garbage".
People praise the anime**** anatomy, badly composed, horribly unoriginally posed, incoherently lit and token background sporting vampire spellcaster.
I love Jason Chan but this is maybe his weakest piece ever, you must really love pink in order to like it more than the other two, also, it reeks of CGI harder than anything Argyle's ever done, it's like some people just repeat what they've read around.

I like the snake girl and the cute vampire girl...
I don't care about Sorin, because I don't about Sorin.
Also, the Vampire girl is not anime. Not even close.

I heard that art is subjective
(I agree with you though, the jason chan piece is garbage)

It's poorly modified and touched up. One look at the sword makes it pretty apparent it was added after Komarck submitted the piece. It's badly tacked on.
Aside from that, the background is goofier than hell, with the ridiculously oversized moon and the cartoon castle.

I'm not sure why you think the sword looks so bad. How does it appear as if it were placed in the art after Komarck submitted it? How is it "pretty apparent?" Does it have to do with his finger arrangement?
While I think the other Komarck Sorin piece is better, this newer piece for the sleeves isn't terrible.

Don't know what he means either, the sword respects the lighting direction, intensity and tone of the picture and is well supported in two places, even if Sorin's grip wasn't enough to keep it up (it is possible to hold a sword as he is doing, plus he's a vampire), it's also resting on his shoulder. Preferential anatomy would be to move the sword 10° towards his neck and the gripping hand -10° away from his body, but that would make the composition weaken, as it is it's a rule of thirds pic with good attention flow.

The sword is very flat compositionally, standing essentially straight up and while it respects the lighting, what it does NOT do is cast a shadow of its own across Sorin's right side. The pose which Sorin strikes as he moves forward, with his hand in front makes more sense without the sword there, given how his grip on said weapon is... nonexistent. He's not HOLDING the sword at all, it's resting on his hand, which is casually open.
That being said, I didn't say the piece was terrible. Just badly added to.
Perhaps you should just send WOTC a resume and tell them why you're better at Magic than one of their employees instead of complaining here, where nobody really has any authority on the matter.
Why are people trying to say the playmat vampire is Sorin and Lilliana's kid...Did I miss something?

You're right. I just don't think it looks "added" to, though. As in, it doesn't have that off appearance to make me think it has been added to.
I heard that subjective means you can say "I don't like it," not "it's garbage."
