Besides that, the team there has drawn back the curtain for me and shown me what's coming down the pike for the game, and I'm working that into the comic storyline too. You can see that by the way it'll weave elements of the new Innistrad block straight into the plot in which Dack becomes embroiled. This means that the material you read in the comic has been vetted, approved, and sanctioned to be part of the Magic: The Gathering canon.
This makes me even more excited for the comic. It might be just the normal fluff people say when putting out a new book/comic/movie but it gives me some small hope that they did research the story and get help with the Magic Lore, unlike some books recently...
I think we can say Dack isn't UR, since his hand gets visibly burnt by the fire protecting the Dagger that he steals.
Actually, there are very few red creatures with protection from red, so this is really closer to proving that he's not white (since white has the most protection from red). Regardless, that evidence is ridiculous. People get burned no matter what kind of personality they have.
Also, just because he's not reckless and random doesn't mean he's not red. Koth isn't random. More likely Dack is just passionate or values his freedom (if he is indeed red).
But all of that is off topic since this thread is about Sifa. We know nothing about her, including the reasons for destroying his village. Any coloured planeswalker could do that, they'd just have different motives.
White - Sodom and Gomorrah
Green - 2muchpollutionraaar
Red - Fun/Rage/Oops!
Black - Revenge/Assassination
Blue - Okay, maybe not blue...
Considering Dack is from Izzet, his natural enemy would be Selesnya, that'd put Sifa into RW part of the pie. But Selesnya doesn't really seem like 'pwn this village' sort of bunch...

Experiment gone right? I don't think Blue is the destructive type. Anyone?
That's strange... I didn't delete that post of mine you quoted.
Anyway, there are plenty of reasons for destruction for knowledge's sake. Efficient use of resources, more accurate results through live testing, or simply wanting to do something because it was theoretically possible.

We don't know that Dack is "from Izzet". Whether you mean he is U/R, or that he is actually part of the Izzet Guild, either way, we don't have confirmation of either of these things that I'm aware.
Just because two colours are "enemy colours" doesn't mean that the planeswalkers of those colours are enemies. Venser, Elspeth, and Koth were all allies during Scars block. Similarly, two planeswalkers having a beef with each other doesn't automatically mean they are going to be in natural enemy colours. Jace and Tezzeret don't exactly get along and they're the same colour.
Even if we did know what colour(s) Dack was, it doesn't actually tell us anything about what colour(s) Sifa might be.
ofc it's WG
how did i even mix up Boros and Selesnya...
and we're still speculating in here, running rumor is that Dack is RU and from Ravinica. While that might hint Izzet allegiance, it doesnt' make him Izzet straight. More speculations into more speculations.

I'm pretty sure he can't be from Ravnica, since his home village was destroyed by that Sifa Grent person, and there aren't any villages on Ravnica. The whole plane is, you know, a single city, so she would have had to destroy the whole plane if Ravnica was his home plane.
Also, since Ral Zarek is pretty clearly an Izzet Planeswalker, Dack Fayden also being Izzet is quite unprobable. Actually, I don't think Dack will be red at all (blue is kind of a given, with him stealing knowledge and the affinity towards artifacts and all).
not very creative if we get another blue planeswalker dealing with artifacts.
My thoughts exactly. Another blue artifact-oriented planeswalker so soon after Tezzeret AOB, especially in a block not oriented to artifacts, would be just a bit strange. On the other hand, white has some affinity for artifacts as well I believe. After all, Gideon is hieromancer, which deals with sacrificial remains and sacred objects. If I had to guess, I'd say there's probably plenty of those in Innistrad.
I have to admit though, Dack seems to possess traits from every colour except black. As more information is revealed, I really have a hard time getting a read on the guy. It'll be interesting to see what he is when he does become a playable card.

THANK YOU Brasswire, Dear gods THANK YOU.
I was going mad with all that speculation cascading into other speculation. All you're doing there is setting up for disappointment.
Anyways, I don't think his hand is red because he was burnt by the artifact, I'd say that's the physical manifestation of his psychometry. If you'll notice on his belt, he's carrying a gauntlet for that hand. I think he literally CAN'T control his power, so he has to wear the glove to mute it. (or at least that's common amongst the Psychometry users archetype)
I also see no indication of him being Red or White. I'd say blue is solid, but as it is, we have NO CLUE what his colors are. Doubly so for Sifa, who we have ONE piece of information for.
I'm pretty sure he can't be from Ravnica, since his home village was destroyed by that Sifa Grent person, and there aren't any villages on Ravnica. The whole plane is, you know, a single city, so she would have had to destroy the whole plane if Ravnica was his home plane.

It says that Ravnica is his current home, but likely not his original home given how they chose to word it.
One correction though, Ravnica isn't really one big city. It's all cityscape, but it's more like a city surrounded by satellite cities. See below.
Ravnica city is the largest city on the plane of Ravnica (it is so large that the name of the city has become the name of the plane).
Now Ravnica had hundreds of cities that (over time) merged together so that now the entire plane is covered in cities. But Ravnica city is still a "stand alone" city.
That's strange... I didn't delete that post of mine you quoted.
Anyway, there are plenty of reasons for destruction for knowledge's sake. Efficient use of resources, more accurate results through live testing, or simply wanting to do something because it was theoretically possible.
Yeah, one of mine got eaten as well. Perhaps the forums are cranky.
Or one of the new 'Walkers deals with time manipulation and we're being erased from the timeline, Back to the Future style.
Either way.
... hrm, the DeLorean could be considered an artifact.
Edit: interesting if this has ties to Ravnica, assuming we're not revisiting there in the next block (supposedly). Perhaps a long reaching tie in to explain ending up there in (presumably) 2013?
That second art piece in the second post looks sick! Looks like the blade cut and seared the building there. Hope we see that blade make its way as an equipment card.
So did anyone else who read The Cursed Blade article see this and immediately think of the Bloodletter, or was it just me? A Planeswalker that can tap into the powers of artifacts, heading to a plane where quite a few major characters are fighting over a cursed sword that makes humans bleed eternally and vanquishes non-humans. I like it.
Anyone else see a potential trajectory that has Dack learning the spell behind Liliana's veil using his psychometry power?
I agree with this. I would say the veil is a pretty important and powerful artifact, and seeing as he can gain their powers, he would be most interested in it. he will probably come in the "roll" set after they unveil the veil in the "rattle" set( I assume this is where they will print the veil if they do print it. )
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
