Are new rotations this sexy? this is my first rotation experience and I am super excited. I was wondering what the reactions were during the Scars/Besieged/NPH rotations/spoilers.
Here is a quick filtered image using Photoshop. I did as quickly as possible since I'm still at work. lol. I think the vampire has flying and haste not double strike as earlier suggested. the type is too heavy on the last letter of the first word, suggesting to me its a g not an e. still working on the the triggered abilities sentence.

I think the general reaction to Scars rotating in was: "Heeey, heeyheeeygood byyye." I can't really remember.
The "Day" white uncommon is probably not a werewolf - the Mayor has "Human Werewolf" on his type line even when in day/human mode, and this card only has "Human."
It's much more likely that she turns into a ghost or something at night. The day/night mechanic seems too large for a single tribe.
The problem with this theory is consistency. If the Mayor had the werewolf type even while in human form, she should have the transformed type while in day form as well.
I think it's more likely that she doesn't transform at all. It could be as simple as a P/T boost during day or night or an activated ability which can only be activated during one of them. Or it could be as complicated as phasing out at night.
I would think this is a good card for weenie aggro decks. You put it down, and then after a Day of Judgment effect, you can immediately bring all your one-drops back from the graveyard, at the end of your opponent's turn, ready to alpha strike on your next turn.
I really hope that it's tap or untap instead of destroy. I do not know how well that fits red. I know red has some mana ramping with cards like Geosurge and stuff, but I don't remember them untapping lands.
Neither of those effects fit red, and even with the land destruction, the card itself isn't too great. I don't understand why some people think this is broken.

you are really that afraid of bad land destruction?
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
If this is the start of an ARG, the pile of random cards might be significant. Is there some sort of code? Are they potential reprints? I want to believe there's more to it than blurry art and obscured rules text.
Am I the only one who is honestly more interested in that massive blank tome with the embossed symbol of Avacyn and where I can get one than in the validity of cards with text we can't read?
You aren't. I want that book so badly, nearly as much as the set right now.
Well I personally think the white card will bd spirit (possessed) during the night. Possibly gain flying. That card is actually creepy looking with a lone girl sitting in a corner like she doesn't want nightfall to come.
Edit: Has anyone found out the name of the white card yet? Im looking on my lap top and if i put the screen back and look at the screen from an angle (looking up from the bottom) the name becomes darker. It looks like it starts with a "CH" and the last part of the name is "Youth" If anyone wants to take a look for what its worth.

It makes more sense to keep some consistency in terms of what the mechanic represents. Monsters and evil forces emerging or growing stronger at night is being played up a lot in the information we do have so I expect that to be a common theme among all (or at least most) of the cards with this day/night transition.
The best thought that comes to my mind is that this girl becomes possessed by a geist when night falls. That wouldn't affect her creature type during the day, unlike the Mayor who is still technically a werewolf even when he isn't showing any outward signs. When she's not possessed she's just an ordinary human.

It also fits into what we know about "classic/gothic horror", of vampires, spirits, werewolves, the undead, the behaviors of each, and so on. Ghosts seeking vengeance against the living by possessing humans (and being dormant during the day) is on the list.
I imagine that her Night form is something like: "Possessed Innocent" where she has a mist of sorts swirling around her (the ghost) like an aura, and her expression is crazed and deranged, with a bloody knife in her hand, etc.

If her name is, indeed, "Cloistered Youth", one has to wonder why she is cloistered. Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem to me like you would seal away someone who is possessed by a ghost.

Killing her would likely just mean she becomes a vengeful geist, and/or her corpse rises as a zombie, rather than the current alternative of "imprisoning" a single geist*. It's possible that exorcisms were done by the church on Innistrad before the decline in their powers.
* We don't know burial rites on Innistrad, though they're implied to leave corpses uncremated (why else would there be zombie hordes in the urban areas if they didn't bury the dead intact?) My point being, she's probably cloistered because she's a danger to others, and solving the issue by effectively murdering her would create more problems than it's worth than to simply seclude her. You could argue that they should kill her and cremate her body, but again, probably a very nasty geist would result.

It's too expensive for that purpose.

so far its;
what has to be reprisal but with different art? Iunno its the only 1w common from alliances that makes sense but the art is clearly different.
then he drops deathgrip and elvish bard but it only looks like he picks up the bard...
then the massive pile of dual lands

since when does red tap lands? It destroys them.
Reprisal had two different arts in Alliances. That was the second version of it.
