Its a good possibility, but theres only 3 plausible (green) cards left on the list;
"grizzled outcasts", "villagers of estwald", and "ulvenwald mystics".
Now, two of those have names that utterly smack of being limited jank, likely uncommons or commons. Mystics is generally a word given to slightly more powerful stuff, like rares. They might be lower too, I don't pretend to know.
But it *is* hard to imagine "grizzled outcasts" or "villagers of estwald" being mythic rares. Besides just the 'inconspicuous' nature of the names, theres two things to note. They're both plural names, for one. How many mythic rare creatures do we have that are really mobs, particularly of humanoids. Thats sort of harder to mesh together in horror tropes. They make more sense as a common angry mob then a mythic rare group of elite villagers.
To be more specific, of the 125 mythic rare creatures that have seen print or been retconned as mythics, only 1 is a 'plural' creatures. And thats rampaging baloths. Theres some that are arguably more than one creature at once, but of the names, unless I'm missing something, they're all one creature, and generally uniquely named at that.
I think we can basically rule out the villagers and grizzly-dudes.
Now I wouldn't be so bold as the say the mystics aren't, but the evidence all points to garruk as being a werewolf planeswalker with 5 abilities, and that is peculiar because supposedly 'all werewolves' have the same clause for morphing, which would mean its not one of his abilities doing it, which would mean he needs rules text (something no other pwer has had either).
So yeah, theres a chance we'll see the mystics wind up mythics, but I'd put my money on garruk being a werewolf mythic to fulfill that hint
I would actually kind of love it for the Villagers to be the mythic rare werewolf card. I mean, they sound very unassuming, but at the same time the notion of an entire tidy little village that turns into a force of murderous werewolves is a delightfully creepy idea, as classic horror tropes go. It would just hit that ominous note perfectly.
But I agree that the hint being fulfilled by Garruk being a werewolf seems likeliest, especially given the PAX video that shows Garruk undergoing some sort of transformation.
Also On topic: Why are we getting an uncommon foil for the Gameday Top 8? Seriously, it's like everything is getting downgraded...We lost our Player rewards last year, and now the promos are getting downgraded?! MY lgs charges 5 bucks to play in the gameday... I want that promo to be at least worth SOMETHING ya know? make it worth the trip and the money...
Civilized Scholar lets you discard lands and draw heat late as well should you not be able to swing in. Block, tap, discard, Transform before damage is a nice trick as well. Feeds Lavamancer and whatever GY mechanics might show up. Definitely not broken but considering Standard is about to slow down a bit I think it's good enough.

As a player who mainly plays limited, Civilized Scholar makes me very excited. Merfolk looter is still good in aggressive formats, and he rewards playing aggressive decks by looting and getting in for 5 every turn. Absolutely awesome card design.
Between the seemingly good mechanical flavor and the awesome artwork seen so far, INN is shaping up to be one of the sets I've beem very excited for, the last one being the RAV blocks when I started to play in SoK.
Shouldn't at least the mayor be a legend? Looks awkward to have two of him in play, specially on the same side lol
Its not a new thing where they print cards that flavor wise should be legendary but aren't because it would be giving a card a pointless drawback that would make it play ways they dont want it to
People are getting too caught up with the flavor to realize that pretty much every card shown thus far, sucks.
Only the lands are any good.
Only time will show if there are some gems in between them, however I don't really see me self playing with any of them, other than perhaps the Vampire legend, just for kicks.

"All werewolves" not "all cards with transform". Garruk is not a "Werewolf", he is a "Planeswalker - Garruk", even if he is a werewolf by flavor.
I think he'll be a Planeswalker - Garruk on one side and a (Legendary?) Creature - Human Werewolf on the other.

"Here only miracles. Here, only the rising of spirit. And yes, love if it was pertinent (which it was so often); and sometimes bloodletting. But never the prosaic, never the trivial. Here the man who brought the strangest tale was the most welcome. Here every excess was celebrated if it brought visions, and every vision analyzed for the hints it held to the nature of the Everlasting." - Clive Barker's Imajica

Edit: Clearly they are shifting to an underpowered block (so far). Almost kind of feels like Mercadian Mask.
I suppose that was to be expected.
Oh, believe me, I'm right there with you. I'm annoyed that absolutely nothing that's been spoiled is constructed playable. I've been hoping to see something that could allow for the creation of an interesting archetype, but so far, post-rotation standard might as well just be Scars Block Constructed + M12.

How do you know what's playable out of these cards and what isn't? Are you psychic? Do you know what Standard will be like post-rotation?
No. You don't. Not even a quarter of the cards have been spoiled. Get a grip.

Just wait for the better cards. We haven't even seen the planeswalker cards yet. Plus flashback can be pretty good. But maybe you're correct and this set lacks good cards for standard but we can't predict that yet because we haven't even seen half the set.

Civilized scholar is a terrible card in any format. I would pick Lightning Elemental over him any day if the week. At least then you can have a decent blocker.
It's like, play this guy, wait a turn, use his ability, discard a creature, then swing in and die to a chump blocker.
So far this set looks just out and out terrible. And that's not even considering the mechanics. The cards are overcosted and very underpowered.

That above, right there, is the problem. Just hoping that the planeswalkers are the saving grace of a set, that sucks.
Please remember that what I said was "thus far". Not "this set sucks", but just thus far.
I know that there's like 200 cards left to show though. So I'm not losing hope. They probably just showed these cards as they embody the flavour of the set.
I kind of half expect Baron Sengir to be in there lol

It's basic probability. Only a minority of cards in a given set is constructed playable. Therefore, if someone will claim for EVERY new card that it's unplayable, he'll be right most of the time.
2 more blocks of those and magic is playable again
its called stopping the power creep
Magic is not a game with one lever called "power level". It only looks that way because we have untalented hacks designing the game now.
2 more blocks of this and Magic is dead.
We just had an entire block come out that gave us practically nothing to add to constructed, and INN is shaping up to be the same. Come rotation standard is going to be hilariously bad. Watch the ranks of Legacy swell.
Because it is red?

Elite Inquisitor is a rare...
And I love how Inquisitor reminds me of the "Priest" movie character.

Playing: Jund, Melira Pod
There's one more plural mythic: Sen Triplets

I like Turtles
Probably because they couldn't fit "Legendary Creature -- Human Advisor Werewolf [Symbol] in the type line.
My Vorthos-ness aside, I agree with this. :/
EDIT: Except Giredraf Ghoul and Elite Inquisitor, maybe.
Only time will show if there are some gems in between them, however I don't really see me self playing with any of them, other than perhaps the Vampire legend, just for kicks.

I hadn't though of that, good call. That actually makes a lot of sense if they want to make sure the promo cards are DFCs.
