The word "exile" itself doesn't imply killing. I'm not sure why everyone keeps harping on that. It seems pretty straightforward that the act of banishing a creature to another space doesn't count as "killing" it.
To be fair, the problem is not really one of terminology but of expected behavior. Personally, I think the card would feel and play a lot better if it cared about itself being put into the graveyard instead of the creature it's attached to. Sure, it bumps its power level up a notch or two, but considering the player needs to commit four mana every time he wants to do this I'm not really that concerned (at least not until they print a Stoneforge Mystic for auras).
You're forgetting that Wizards seems to think that new players are really stupid.
Apparently not as stupid as the people here think they are.
When they say things like "new players don't like/get confused by X" they aren't just making things up. They have polls. They have market research. They have information about what people think that goes far beyond what you or I can get from whoever we play with locally or whoever talks on Magic forums. I have much more faith in Wizards's conception of what players want than what User_1279 has to say here.
So now we have Equipment Baneslayer, Aura Baneslayer and Creature Baneslayer. Kinda pushy huh?
How do you guys gauge between Batterskull and Angelic Destiny? One bashes without help, other hits in the air. Both seem resilient - still at the same time prone - to removal though, since one's 3 + 5 to trigger living weapon and the other is a Rancor-esque effect.
Loving the images of some cards. Ghosts and zombies look cool!

I'm very excited for Innistrad now. The possibility of getting a set with a gothic, witch-hunter theme is fantastic. Plus, I finally get to see a U/R Planeswalker (he looks really cool), and my new Dredge EDH deck gets some goodies.
Ahhhhhhh, I'm in love with this set creatively already. I've been waiting for a new graveyard based set for a long time. The gothic/victorian era theme is a dream come true.

Enchantment "Baneslayer" doesn't have Lifelink, and that makes it far, far less powerful than the other two.

Baneslayer? I'm 100% sure that the card was based on a certain iconic uncommon...
It's not as good as batterskull though. You can kill the creature in response and get 2-for-1'd, whereas batterskull always gives you a 4/4 and equipping would just be wasting some mana with no loss of card advantage.
In any case, I'm happy to see my tallowisp (aka pseudo mystic) deck is getting a buff with spectral rider and angelic destiny.
I'm loving the flashback. That's like neon signs saying "here comes graveyard theme!"
I like the Demon. 4/4 Flying with Phyrexian Arena attached to him isn't too bad. Not sure if or how much play he'll see, but if standard slows down he'll be playable.
Angelic Destiny seems pretty good. I like the card art especially.
Oh by the way... FLASHBACK!!!! One of my favorite mechanics, so excited to see it back.
Another thought, anybody think there is a possibility we'll see a Niv Mizzet appearance in Innistrad? Check out the flavor text from Skirsdag Cultist
"Within blood is life. Within life is fire. Within fire is the path to our master's glory!"
Combine this with the new Red/Blue planeswalker & I would definitely not count out a Niv Mizzet appearance.

Check the demon's flavor text. It looks like he's the master that they serve.
This is the coolest thing I've seen all week. I love irregular collective nouns such as "Murder of Crows." If they were to do a cycle of odd collective noun creatures you could also include a Conspiracy of Ravens (U), a Blessing of Unicorns (W), a Slither of Snakes (G) and Gaggle of Goblins (R).
I too await my zombie pirate brethren to take me home.
But yeah, that demon while quite competent can't see play while grave titan is around. I call this the titan effect- nicely designed and aggressively costed creatures that should define a meta become pretty dang useless due to the ultimate finishers in their colors being reprinted, which they of course can't even trade with, zzzzz. Whats kuldotha phoenix? Never heard of it either.
Its very nice, a black card that can *both* be a finisher *and* an arena to poop out card advantage- unlike the sphinx, its in a color that would need creatures that do exactly that. And ofc, what does a grave titan do? Poops out card advantage *and* is a finisher. Well.

Also this is good things. Good good things.
Affinity got a power boost and dredge is next.
So Pro I have an alpha Volcanic Island
Also, I hate to be the first and only one to say this, but I love Liliana's new look!

My old nickname was lockheart87.
And seeing that white Baneslayer Rancor, is it too much to ask for an actual Rancor reprint too? Here's hoping.
If anything, I am guessing they'll make a Cycle of "Destiny" cards at Mythic.
We can pretty much rule that out. We won't see two different versions of the recurring-aura mechanic in the same set.

I miss casting Snapcaster Mage + Rampant Growth
I'm stoked. Wizards must really want my money.

It doesn't necessarily have to be on Innistrad.
190 Rampant Growth (Sorcery), Common
191
192
193 Runeclaw Bear (Creature โ Bear), Common
But yeah, I think it's unlikely.
Also, there's a witch hunter on the green aura. I'm getting excited about Innistrad.

Too bad I won't be here to play the prerelease
My english may suck, so please take it easy
That Liliana art is AMAZING. Looking at it, I expect Gideon to burst in at any moment and shout "Die monster! You don't belong in this world!"
I have to say I'm fairly excited about Innistrad now.

I couldn't be more in love with what I've seen so far, though. I hope all the art is this good.

At least primeval will be a chump now
I'm not sure if I'm missing something or not, but what Liliana art is everyone talking about? Guessing its the preview art from the INN announcement?
Check the first page. It's the deck box art near the bottom.
