anyways, i hope that the merfolk 'walker isn't like nissa and f***ing tribal. i hated that. and if she is, and if shes good... well merfolk is already good enough. and we have enought blue 'walkers! give some more to green and black, will ya (yes i know more black is coming, but still)?
EDIT: talking about legacy btw. concerning merfolk.

I had to look everywhere to find out if the 50% saying Koira was right or the 50% saying Kiora was right lol. Also people keep saying Atau instead of Atua. I made that mistake.
...and how could you get over something like that? lol
All I can think of when I hear "Koira" is some kind of new goldfish. I just don't want her to turn into the next "Rogue <-> Rouge"
I thought Koira was a little fishy. But you don't hear me carping.
I doff my hat to thee
Also, did Ajani lose an eye? On the high res pic, it looks like a scar in his fur running from his right (my right as I face the screen) brow to below his closed eye.
Also also, can Karn move the parts of his face, or is that his only expression?
I thought Nissa was awesome. I thought it was very flavorful and fit the tribe well. I would like to see some more tribal planeswalkers. Nissa still commands the same price as many other walkers, such as Garruk 1.0, Ajani Goldmane, Ajani Vengeant, sarkhan the mad, and tezz 1.0.
Nissa was also expelled from her Elvish clan and she was tribal anyway.
The reason why Kiora will not be tribal is that her D12 deck did not support that strategy.
And then Nissa was adopted by another elf tribe, and then she had to leave that tribe to learn about other elves. She's all about elves, so her being a tribal planeswalker made sense.
Is it possible that Kiora's deck in DotP 2012 did not support merfolk tribal because, according to her brief walker bio, she specializes in big sea creatures and not typical merfolk-related things?
Also, did Ajani lose an eye? On the high res pic, it looks like a scar in his fur running from his right (my right as I face the screen) brow to below his closed eye.
He's always been a one eyed jack. Look at Ajani Vengeant.
He also gave their names in order from left to right:
Tezzeret, Sarkhan Vol, Karn, Elspeth, Nissa, Sorin Markov, Jace, Gideon Jura, Chandra Nalaar, Garruk, Kiora, Koth, Liliana, Ajani
EDIT: He also mentions that Koira Atua (thank you for the last name artist) is green/blue. Doesn't necessarily mean that she will show up as a green/blue card, but there's a chance, considering when artists get the art description, they generally also get the card colors.
Personal note: Sarkhan looks extremely asian in this picture, almost like Attila the Hun. Weird...

I've always thought that Sarkhan was 'North Asian' like Mongolian or something. I don't know why this surprised so many people. I guess it's because on his other two cards he's making weird faces so its harder to tell?

This guy, would either eat up several turns worth of mana to get a slow permanent that relies on your already have some board presence (after wasting said mana), or dies without generating any advantage.

So he is! I've never seen Ajani Vengeant up close (only in blurry "spoiler" form from SCG or CSI). I was wondering if he lost it fighting Bolas or something. If only he thought to bring a Healing Salve.
Am I missing something here? Don't they all look terrible?
This is literally one of the most hideous CGI-laden posters I've ever seen, should just stick to actual art like the majority of their cards.
New liliana artwork is gross too.
i did however enjoy getting a good look at their shoes
Yeah, they all do look pretty terrible, with probably the exception of Chandra and Jace. Gideon looks terribly like Triple H, rather than the character depicted by Aleksi Briclot. The only others that really look like themselves are Tezz, Nissa, Koira and Karn. Although Sorin doesn't look too terrible either. Liliana definitely looks the wrong ethnicity though.
EDIT: Oh, hello high resolution closeup. Now that I can see them all better (should've clicked the picture twice the first time), I get the feeling that the artist grabbed a bunch of pictures of actors/actresses for references. I take back what I said about Jace and Sorin looking fine. Jace looks like an actor I know, but I can't place the name. Also, Ajani's missing the wrong eye...
Ultra Pro will be using three sections of this art on its upcoming line of deckbox/sleeve combo packs. One is the center section with Gideon that's already been used elsewhere, while the other two are the left and right sections with Elspeth and Liliana, respectively.
liliana is the hot one. check the new art...

She might be, but it won't be for merfolk. Leviathan tribal 'walker all the way.

No, in this picture he looks like Viserys Targaryen from HBO's Game of Thrones
