Pirates wore hats, especially tricorner
and whatever else they could steal off of the british navy
theres a body of water, no reason why there wouldnt be Pirates.

The fact that it would detract from the Horror setting is a pretty good reason. Drowned sailors, yes. Pirates, probably not.

Considering the real life pirates existed as a fringe group,
when royal empires were gaining total dominance under the church,
Its not too far fetched to think that Skirsdrag or their supporters
would seek to loot the people of their tools to imprison demons,
stop the werewolves, slay vampires, etc.
I think Piracy is a natural evolution
to the dynamic of the social structure of innistrad.
Do i think it will be done this block... no,
but i would like to think that we could come back
to another continent on innistrad, like dominaria

The block isn't meant to be a reflection of history, though. It's a reflection of fiction tropes from a particular genre.

I'd say that if we do see any pirates this block, they're probably going to be the undead/ghost sort out to terrorise the waves, due to the horror theme, and we're more likely to see ghost ships.
Depends on which way any sea horrors are taken into the flavour. I'd be disappointed if all we get are a kraken and a couple sexy mermaids trying to drown sailors.
I really love the flavor so far! Like old folklore,

Mentioned twice in the thread but no one ever picked up the discussion.
The image above is strikingly similar to Ghost Quarter. It doesn't confirm a reprint, but it may be a similar card and would fit perfectly into the theme of the set.
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?
Has anyone mentioned that the Demon with the scythe is definitely Tombstalker? I would think that this confirms a reprint and confirms delve.
The Future Sight art for Tombstalker is a pretty generic demon. The only distinguishing characteristic about it is the flames coming from its body, which this demon doesn't have.
Its not. Returning mechanic is flashback, not delve.
Was it ever specifically stated that there would be only one returning machanic? I know they have that rule for Core Sets but I didn't think it applied to Blocks as well. It seems to me that Delve would fit perfectly in a graveyard-heavy Set/Block. Oh well, maybe if it's not in Innistrad (the set) it'll be in one o the later sets, such a Dark Ascension.

Except that Wizards does not count using a mechanic from future-shifted cards as returning a mechanic.
Delve isn't a returning mechanic... It hasn't been "released" yet.
