I think a lot of people forget this. There's a ton of people who play multiplayer that don't play commander. We have a play group in San Francisco where few commander games are played. Not everyone has a commander deck, and I personally don't find it as entertaining as just having everyone bring any deck they want and sit down and play a game aof multiplayer star or assassin.
That said, these decks are actually AMAZING if you don't play commander. My plan is to sell 4 of the dual lands I have...I have never sold my cards before, btw, and that should get me ~300$, which I will turn around and buy *10* commander decks. I will rip then apart, and I will now have enough cool cards to make many other randomly cool, fun decks for my multiplayer group.
4 cards for 1000. What could be better than that?
So I know everyone likes these decks as being for playing EDH< but for some of us, its a bunch of very cool new cards that are going to be hard to find individually in stores, since they wont show up in boosters. I think the prices of many of these rares are going to skyrocket over time because they will be so hard to find.
4 Dual Lands for $300......... have they really went up that much? I havent priced em lately, but a few years back I picked up 3 underground Sea for something like $30
Holy Cow--- I just hit ebay............................... To think Ive had these in my Eye of the Storm deck along with my Force of Wills, Mana Drains, and Library of Alexandria for the past couple of years.
Anyways, now that the shock of that has started to ware off a bit for me----- If you sell your lands for $300 I wouldnt spend it all on these... You could build much better decks for less, instead just buy the deck or two that you want to start with---- then buy singles. I preordered 1 of each of these--- and had I known then what I know now, I probably wouldnt have bought but 1 or 2 of these... the rest are filled with mostly fodder that you wont hardly ever play in the format and instead you could have bought the cards in those decks that are actually playable for far less than the rest of the deck.
That said, my plan will probably be to just leave these decks as are--- and break them out for games as sort of a standalone game. That way I have extras for those that dont have a deck-- and if someone falls in love with a particular deck, they can just buy one for themself at $30 and that just leaves 1 more deck open for someone else.
Im getting excited about these for mtgo though, where I can just buy the single commanders that come in these and save myself a ton of money-- and then just slide those cards in with the other decks I already have. I only play commander when Im online these days-- so I already have 1 offs for most of the formats staples already, so I should be able to build a bunch of new decks to play with off these on the cheap.
The sparkmage shrieked, calling on the rage of the storms of his youth.
To his surprise, the sky responded with a fierce energy he'd never thought to see again.
Lol, how much I hate people go like "wooo are those really that much now? I paid nothing for them".
That's what happens when you have been playing the game for many years. I have been playing since Mirage/Visions and I get excited when this happens. When I heard that my tabernacle is more than my library..that was exciting.
These decks are going to do wonders for new players and EDH.
I just playtested Mirror Mastery (using cockatrice), and it was both incredibly fun and surprisingly effective. Got to about 8 mana on turn 3, played Riku with greaves, and copied a bunch of stuff.
Most likely still getting that one, I wasn't entirely sure based on the list but it's a good fit for me.
Ghave, Guru of Spores 2BGW
Legendary Creature - Fungus Shaman [M]
Ghave, Guru of Spores enters the battlefield with five +1/+1 counters on it.
1, Remove a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control: Put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token onto the battlefield.
1, Sacrifice a creature: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.

Yeah sorry to the other guy, I wasnt trying to rub it in that I got a good deal on my cards, its just that for the longest time you could pick up duals for less than $20 a piece, and playsets (for whatever reason) where much cheaper than buying singles-- and playsets of these things tended to go for about $30-$45.. There for awhile, ravnica dual lands were going for as much as the origionals-- I havent really priced them since.... so its shocking how much cards have exploded in price for, and exciting if you happen to have gotten them before hand...
If it makes anyone feel better-- Id gladly keep mine and have their value drop to next to nothing if that would mean wizards would scrap the reserved list and just print more (even though they wont till the lights are about to go out).
I do wish these cards had some more commander staples in them though... There are some great cards for the format in here, but they left out some real wants and often played cards.
Im surprised we didnt see Genesis (or maybe I just missed him), or Doubling Season since they have decks they would really shine in.
Im also surprised we didnt see better board clearers like Wrath of God, Day of Judgement, Damnation or Decree of Pain since theyre all pretty commonly played in Commander.
And it would have been nice to see more older hard-to-get cards for the people new to the format instead of some of the newer reprinted cards we got.
But over all--- there is enough meat in these things to give people a good jumping in point, and enough good stuff to build with to provide a good jumping off point as well when you decide to build your own.
And they seem to be pretty balanced against each other, at least just looking at the lists--- so theyll be great to play against one another.
My only real complaint besides the ones above is that we have so many cards that play political with creatures not being able to attack you or planeswalkers you control that it would have been awesome to see more than just 1 in here..... The old walkers are cheap enough that I cant understand why each deck didnt include one of a different color.

I'm a little worried about The Mimeoplasm. It seems a lot of the deck is devoted to dredging your own creatures. If The Mimeoplasm eats all of your fatties and then gets removed, you lose them forever.
So besides Scavenging Ooze, do we know what other card we are missing? 49/51 spoilers at the moment...
We know nothing about the other card besides the fact that it's rare and either white, black, or green. It's one of the two missing cards from the decklist. At the moment, every color has 4 rares besides red (assuming the ooze is green), so it could go any direction.

Here is what we can deduce:
There is a white card missing between Archangel of Strife #7 and Crescendo of War #12. In the 4 spots we only have: Austere Command, Bathe In Light, and Congregate. The new card is white since Scavenging Ooze doesn't fit in-between. So Unkown new card is White, and is named something after AR and before CO.
Scavenging Ooze is Green as the Mirror Mastery list has an extra card in the list (I had to check because my number crunch list only showed 1 open spot and I needed 2). Mirror Mastery colors are URG. Counterpunch which Scavenging Ooze is in is BGW. They only share green, so to remove a card from Mirror Master to fit a card from Counter Punch it had to be green.
From that Scavenging Ooze has to fit somewhere between Hydra Ominvore #161 and Tribute to the Wild #175. That means Invigorate, Kodama's Reach, Krosan Tusker, or Magus of the Vineyard is out (only cards from Mirror Mastery that fit inbetween) and Scavening Ooze is added.

I could be wrong but that is what I am deducing.
I didn't double-check all your work there, but do we have a picture list for Mirror Mastery? Each of the other green decks has Cultivate but not Kodama's Reach. It seems somewhat unlikely that just this one green deck would have both, so if there is indeed an extra card, that would be my guess as to what it is.

That seems likely, but I only have screenshots for Devour for Lunch, Heavenly Lunch, and Lunch Puppets. The other lists came from other posters on this forum.
The heavenly inferno deck in the OP is missing a card. I think it's a white card that starts with "B" or "C".
OK, after checking this myself I am now confused. In fact, contrary to what you say, all of the decklists have the correct number of cards. (And a quick check shows that the problem with some of the commanders being listed twice has been fixed, so that's not it.) So none of the decklists are simply missing a card; rather, one of them must have a wrong card somewhere.
Perhaps a transcription error from the original decklists? A check of the original decklist pictures that we have doesn't seem to reveal any overlooked newly-printed cards either. (If there were other transcription errors, I didn't check for them; and anyway this seems unlikely due to the double-check of mana cost.) It would be nice if we had the original decklist pictures for Mirror Mastery and Counterpunch so we could check those as well.
But that particular source of error still seems unlikely. I'm going to bet on an error in the original decklists...
EDIT: And, it looks like everything I have to say here has already been said in more detail by others...
Scavenging Ooze 1G
Creature - Ooze (R) G: Exile target card from a graveyard. If it was a creature card, put a +1/+1 counter on Scavenging Ooze and you gain 1 life. In nature, not a single bone or scrap of flesh goes to waste.

For the launch party, I mean.
There aren't a ton of 1-for-1 kill spells, and very few board wipes compared to "normal" EDH decks. I'd suggest going for a strong general like Damia.
