Please, please, PLLEEEAAASSSEEE tell me Buried Ruin is part of a cycle, and that the cycle has a land the returns enchantments....
Please...
Not that I'm begging or anything, but...
Please...
Not really sure why people are loving the Buried Ruin - seems pretty mediocre for EDH (Academy Ruins is good because it's a repeatable ability) and I can't imagine it being especially useful in standard
Obviously, with Crucible of Worlds, the ability is repeatable, and the Buried Ruin lacks any color identity, so it can be used in any EDH deck, unlike Academy Ruins, which is restricted to decks running blue. The card is awesome because in most cases, I only Yawgmoth's Will to get my Lightning Greaves or Crucible of Worlds back, and this land gets them back without putting me down an invaluable card.
Minds Unbound: Me likey some Psychosis Crawler shenanigans.
Personal Sanctuary: Niche-y...wonder if this heralds Char in the forseeable future?
Buried Ruin: Very interesting.
Druidic Satchel: I've been thinking of a Mul Daya Future Sight kind of deck. This...looks like a nice inclusion. Good to have a variable card that you win with no matter what. I'm not Red minded enough to like Yes/No gamble cards.
Have you tried them yet? I assume that you haven't.
How are the Lord and the Clone fragile? The removal argument can be used for nearly every creature, hopefully you have something else in store to reply with. Skinshifter is versatile and sure it'll get removed quickly, but in turn, that means one less removal to worry about for your Titan/Finisher. You shouldn't write cards off so quickly.
Normally for a 1 or 2 converted mana cost creature to do anything it would have 1 or any combination of 3 inherent values...
1) The card is super aggressive. Current T2 examples include Vampire Lacerator, Goblin Guide, Ember Hauler and Kalastria Highborn...
2) The card has some kind of value combo or ramping purpose. Current T2 examples include Fauna Shaman, Lotus Cobra, Overgrown Battlement, Joraga Treespeaker etc....
3) The card provides card advantage. Current T2 examples include Squadron Hawk, Stoneforge Mystic, and Bloodghast.
This card COULD be in the first category but the fact that you have to put mana into it to make it relevant and hold back mana on your opponents turn to protect it make me skeptical to use it. If I were an aggresive deck I would much rather be casting more creatures or something. You don't want to be putting something like this in a deck strictly for fodder to removal so you can clear the way for your titans or such. Something like this has more applications in say...a Doran the Siege tower deck or something like that where you can take better advantage of its ability.
I will retract on my previous statement on the illusions and thier lord because it looks like it could become a valid aggro strategy with the lord. I will not be casting any illusions until I play the lord unless its the 2/2 for 1.

Plus, Mindslaver combo would be back in buisness, just a bit harder to play, but it would be competative. buried ruin will be used in the Shenanagins anyways, 2 turn control is fine enough to pull off a victory.
We can pretty much assume that they're going to reprint the coreset dual lands, or possibly enemy colored variants of it. I would agree that an enchantment recurring variant would be absolutely bonkers and i hope that it's one of the 6 land slots..
How can we tell that the original/enemy M10 duals will be printed? there is absolutely no guarantee to that!
The Land is so good. I'm so happy its an uncommon because the spoiler says its rare and I was a little disappointed, but a cycle would be amazing!
Mind Unbound might get kinda wonky if you cannot deal with it yourself, Cumulative Upkeep by drawing cards is quite hectic.
Druidic Sachel is an awesome utility little bag, I like it.
"Ooh, don't hurt me" White Enchantment is boring! But that's only from a personal point of view.

I was thinking... With the heavy support Wizards is giving to Commander, it would make sense to print a cycle like this along with one or two rainbow lands in M12, thus leaving room for an innovative look at duals in Innistrad.

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
Druidic Satchel seems pretty good. Outside of giving up information and blowing your third turn to play it, there's really no downside and no chance of completely whiffing like there usually is with these kind of designs. I doubt it's competitive-playable in anything but Limited, where it can be a major pain in the ass.
Personal Sanctuary makes your opponents' burn spells sorceries and protects you from your own Pestilence/Pyrohemia shenanigans. Eh. Not impressed.
Buried Ruin seems really good for basically any deck that runs an artifact-based strategy or just has a couple that make the deck tick. Commander loves it, casual artifact beatdown loves it (though blue-based ones, like my own, will just keep Academy Ruins), and a deck like the recently-castrated Caw-Blade might have even liked it to bring back Swords that had been nuked.
Mind Unbound seems decent, though I must admit that I find it kind of boring, given that it's just Phyrexian Etchings minus the cumulative upkeep and loss of life at the exchange of costing twice as much. Not interested for anything but Commander, and even then I don't know that I want to be waiting until turn 8 at the earliest (without accel, yes I am aware it's playable as early as turn 3 in Momir Vig colors) to come out ahead.
Personal Sanctuary actually interests me most out of this list... Legacy White Stax has a problem eating half it's own life total with its own lands, this solves the problem with tomb, nomad stadium, etc, though oddly not Horizon Canopy, while even opening up lands like City of Brass to usefulness. Not only does this mess with the tempo of red decks that like to shoot you EOT, but makes Sulfuric Vortex wonderfully one-sided. This seems to scream RW of some sort, but I can't think of anything else that it breaks so far. Most of the things I'd really want to prevent the 'damage' from during my turn (Dark Confidant, Sylvan Library, Fetchlands, etc) are life loss rather than damage, but I'm sure there are some big opportunities out there.
Minds Unbound is begging to be broken, but that's pretty hard to accomplish with a 6 CMC enchantment that doesn't do anything the turn it comes into play(and no real way to cheat it into play earlier in Standard). I'm sure it will see tons of EDH play.
All of these cards(except the white one, which is just confusing and odd) seem like they were made for EDH.
Even the White one seems like it was made for EDH too. I like all these cards for what they are; none are particularly exciting tournament cards, but they all have applications across both Limited and Constructed and seem like fine filler for the set.
The only good thing I see about these cards is that they will print saproling tokens in case I need them in the future lol. Otherwise, 4 meh cards. The white card is just so useless...
It's understandable blue control players would be shocked and in denial at the notion of this card, since their decks have been dominating multiple formats for an eternity yet they've curiously never once had to deal with any counter-hosers that weren't ineffectual, narrow CRAP.
the sachel looks to be a nice pick for draft or limited and the land could see some play in standard if graveyards matter with the next block:embarrass: they all seem kinda jank however
Yes, I hate rares that ruin limited but are completely useless for constructed.
Mind Unbound is useless in every non-casual constructed format (and not even very good in limited) and they should stop printing so many rares like that. Some of us want to open cards we can actually play in a real format or trade.
Edh, is not a format, and it is growing more and more each day. It it happens to be much more competitive and balanced and standard ever is.
As far as limited, you're doing it wrong. Stop using limited as your source of card intake. Singles have always been the smarter way to go. If you want certain cards just go get them. There have been limited horrible cards in every set, so I imagine you are here whining about those too every time.
Limited is a 1-time thing. Printing crap cards like Carnifax Demon that are worth like 50 cents and useless in constructed, but ruin limited games accomplishes what exactly?
Wow, you really think the world revolves around limited don't you? I think it quite hilarous to see a "50 cent card" destroy your uber comparative mind set. Maybe your skills are not as stellar as you think.
Mind Unbound...another stupid EDH rare that will never see constructed play.
Oh yes the arm chair R&D team is out again to assume they know how wotc thinks. I hope you know EDH IS a constructed format. You... wait for it... no no, still wait for it.....
CONSTRUCT A DECK.
Did it ever occur to you, that perhaps this is the ONLY way the card could see print? Did you really think they would print it for what 3cc or 4cc? I love my urza's block over the top level of power, but even I think that is being ridiculous.

Flame Rift. Not sure it's good enough, though, given the curve, situational-ness (yes, I worded that) and number of cards. But that and things like Earthquake are probably what you'd want to look for.

Playing: UB Infect or whatever Ali Aintrazi brews in Standard, Reanimator in Legacy and not playing Fail Format.
Sanctuary is garbage, its basically just some Janky life gain card. The draw enchantment is kind of cool but idk its quite cumbersome. Jace 3 at Cc5 is one thing and that's really pushing it. This costs more and is slower but less vulnerable I suppose, but Jace can at least clock the opponent where this is only a super delayed mind spring. As I said in another posts there are several better options for draw in Commander etc. The satchel is cute but unreliable and the land is sadly the best new card revealed so far and is only good in niche Commander decks as there are already a large selection of colorless utility lands fighting for slots. They better have some goodies in the wings still or this really be the 2012 world slayer of core sets.
Lol reading cards is tech... this damage cant be prevented
I think naya shell, no creatures, with complete board control. Use earthquake, squall line, hurricane, rolling thunder :), slagstorm, volcanic fallout, and stuffy doll of course.
Of course Personal Sanctuary is jank. This doesn't mean it's not a nice addition to the set. I know for a fact that I could find numerous ways to abuse this. It's not tournament viable, but who cares.

Druid Satchel is good it every format.
Personal Sanctuary does help deal with those EOT burn spells and pings, but what else? Oh yes, Jaya Ballard.
Buried Ruin looks fantastic.
The Satchel doesn't look that bad; the land doesn't come tapped, so that's good. Very druid-ic indeed.
