It's not really even broken. If Timetwister were printed today, I don't think it would see play except maybe in combo decks. It's good in Vintage because the decks that play it need to "go off" and a player can easily empty his hand and then draw a new one and have mana left over or have a Force of Will ready to go. There are better cards even in Unlimited that aren't part of the Power 9; Timetwister just seems to have a better effect than it really does.
I was a bit surprised by the announcement of Time Reversal, but not terribly surprised.
I mean, seriously, in a set that is as mill heavy as blue is in this set, it is understandable that there would be a counter for mill strategies. I just did not really expect two of them in the same set.
Blue gets Time Reversal, and everybody gets Elixir of Immortality. Unfair advantage for Blue? Perhaps. Has me scratching my head wondering what they were thinking? Definitely.

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
I'm sorry, I like good cards and not pulling $0.25 useless mythics. Is that a problem?
Opening booster packs probably isn't a good hobby if you get terribly upset from not pulling something good in the rare slot. Buying singles might be a better investment.
I know whats going to be in INN: graveyard mechanics and recursion and mill. And this card isn't just god awful with all those, its going in completely the wrong direction. It can't be played in a deck that wants to use its graveyard or mill the opponent, and it doesn't hose other decks that want to use their graveyard or mill their opponent because its too expensive and color locked and narrow as a sideboard hoser (they would just run elixir), its not even good at it (unlike elixir its a one-off, can't be trinket'd, etc), and even when used it can easily benefit your opponent more than you- you need a deck built around it just to play it.
This spoil was hardly surprising given how phoned in the rest of the set was, anyway.
So your 100% sure that INN will consist of ONLY that and NONE of the cards will interact with this. Wow, you must have some really great insight heh?
Really...Those are just assumptions. You have no idea what INN block will consist and you know none of the cards that's gonna be in there....So please, respecfully, STFU. Thanks.

ROFL, you are trying to educate me? just because English is not my first language doesn't mean i am uneducated you prick, when you go study to become a genetic researcher or a brain surgeon amd succeed in it you can come and diss me with how smart you are okay? this is freaking card game forum, not cambridge university.
MTGS....Full of fail all day, everyday. Welcome to Hell!

This is not a punishment card;the set was designed way before they chose to ban mind sculptor. This is not unfair, all colors get reprints, some even when everyone else gets new stuff to play with. This still applies to mythics. Now sit down and wait for instradid if you don't like what card draw is in front of you. But don't go whining. Build a deck. Like a boss. Or, heaven forbid, put down blue for a while.
Time Reversal is yet another graveyard-shenanigans card. Almost every card spoiled for M12 is either:
1) 7cc or more
2) artifact-themed
3) graveyard-themed
4) all of the above
Because you'll totally open up 36 Time Reversals if you buy a box.
I don't think that is appropriate justification for bad cards. The card is still a disappointment even if I open one of them, especially in a box where you only get four mythics.

I only open packs for the prerelease and the occasional draft, it still doesn't change the fact that literally nobody wants that card. It wastes a rare slot in limited, it is unplayable in constructed, and even in my kitchen table group it is considered a jank card. Why not give us a mythic illusion instead of mailing the tribe in one card short of being playable?

I don't think it's quite fair to complain when you buy a lottery ticket and lose, is it? By buying randomized product you're always taking a risk on what returns you'll get on your investment. That's true whether you open this or one of the other rare cards in the set that will likely be worth very little.
Edit: "Literally no one wants this card" is a silly statement. "I can't imagine anyone wanting this card" seems more accurate. Someone somewhere wants this card, though, and for them it's worth it.

I've opened crappier mythics than this. Liege of the tangle. wtf, crap. all colors and sets have bad mythics. nothing new to see here, move along spoiled children.
Am i the only one that yelled "HELL YEAH" when i found out it got reprinted? Time Reversal is a main piece in my U/W control deck along side Consecrated Sphinx and Psychosis Crawler. with the beast that was JTMS out of standard, Consecrated Sphinx will shine like it should. i am estatic about Time reversal returning, no need to rip my deck for #SCGTX
Can't wait to see the terrible/flimsy explanation of why they chose to reprint this garbage.
"No, really guys, it's so FUN. Aren't you having FUN yet?"

I will be shocked if we actually get an explanation.
So we have 8 Mythic Reprints? I can't say Wizards dropped the ball on this one, cause before the Mythic rarity, we had several Core sets where reprints came and went. With that, there is the underlying issue: It is a Core set. It's normal to have reprints, so why is the idea of having reprints of cards at Mythic rarity so irksome to people? Monotony? Boredom? Greed? I'll be honest, I was the same as a decent bit of this community: I wanted a new card. We wanted a new card. Or more so than that just a new card to replace Time Reversal. We didn't get that. All be it, it won't stop those that are irritated from flaming the hell out of Wizards, but those are the breaks. Yeah of course it sucks, and and very few will play it, but hey, it could have been worse. It could have been Time Stretch.

Forever lasts only as long as those that are there to remember it.
Seriously why though?
The card already costs 50¢. . . now the breaking news has dropped it down to a quarter
It's like they are going to force the card to be good in INN by releasing some broken combo pieces for it; maybe even an alternate win condition that only Time Reversal could pull off!
If the price drops any lower you'll be able to make them the back of your clear (now premium) card protectors
