not if you wait till it already has triggered and been placed on the stack at the end of your turn, and THEN set off sundial. the EOT effect wont trigger again after that.
Actually, I believe that's incorrect. The abillity goes on the stack, then gets removed from the stack, but not from the card. Then during the next end step (your opponent's) it should trigger again. Could be wrong on that for at the beginning of the next end step effects, but things like Ball Lightning with at the beginning of the end step effects definitely trigger again.

Ye Gods. Koth to give you a massive mana infusion to kick that spell, Chandra3 to duplicate it...
Hope your opponent is prepared for a world of hurt.
I've always joked that Chanrad was stalking me. I easily have 2 playsets of Nalaar, and my first ZEN PW was Chandra Ablaze. This Chandra...I wouldn't mind her finding me a few times.
Anything with Unearth will be cool to keep the creature around too if it is true that we can avoid the recurring "at the beginning of the next end step" clause.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
New Chandra... must have... must build Pure Burn for Standard. Must use Ice Age Incinerates...
The Sundial has some interesting applications. Especially during combat. Don't like the blocks? End the turn; damage never resolves. Someone is trying to sneak something in at EoT? End it faster.

May your games be chaotic and your decks be Rogue.
The new Chandra is going to be disgustingly good. So splashable and there are so many broken cards to copy. Can't wait to see the pool we get from INN.
Nothing in this game is degenerate or completely dominant. They haven't banned anything in standard in a long, long time. Hell they should have banned affinity right away, but they didn't until boxed sales collapsed too. Hasbro had to come in and fire people.
I'll enjoy watching all the whiners eat crow monday.
Oh. My. God. Solitary Confinement just got a new best friend. Aside from that, Sundial of the Infinite has got to be broken in some other way, if I can figure out how.
As for Chandra, kind of meh. She's a 4-cost Planeswalker so she'll probably see some amount of play, but she's not anywhere near as good as Koth.

Old terminology reference:
Play (noun): Battlefield
Play (verb): Cast/Play
RFG: Exile
CIP: Enters the Battlefield
It's not strictly better. Chandra 3.0 is good for when your opponent has Abyssal Persecutor, 20 life, and you're at -3.
In all seriousness, it will almost always be worse, but I feel like when you compare the two, the original is usually going to be win-more.
True but how often did you see Jace's ultimate? Gideon arguably doesn't have an ultimate not truly. Over time I think we have found that while ultimate powers can be game winning we don't need them to make a planeswalker good. Frankly I wouldn't play Tezzret to use his ultimate I wanna use his +1 to draw cards/find artifacts and his -1 to turn my torpor orb which had been screwing with my opponent all game into a 5/5 beater

Sounds about right to me. I know that if I were playing this, I would use the ultimate if my opponent gave me the space, but I'm not going out of my way for it by any means.
Wish Chandra was 2RR and had a baby Ablaze ability for her +1 (discard a card, Chandra deals 2 damage to target creature or player)
But over all... I think I kind of like her.
The Sundial... I'm not sure how to feel about it.

Brian Tinsman, Set Designer :?mana::snow::snow:

Ok, I get it now, as far as I can tell, things like Mimic Vat create delayed triggered abilities which have the at the begnning of the next end step wording. Yes, they definitely never trigger again if they are allowed to trigger once. Things with the at the beginning of the end step wording are permanents that have triggered abillities that will remain on the card to trigger again at every end step.
Relevant rules text:
603.7. An effect may create a delayed triggered ability that can do something at a later time. A delayed
triggered ability will contain “when,” “whenever,” or “at,” although that word won’t usually begin
the ability.
603.7a Delayed triggered abilities come from spells or other abilities that create them on resolution,
or are created as the result of a replacement effect being applied.
603.7b A delayed triggered ability will trigger only once—the next time its trigger event occurs—
unless it has a stated duration, such as “this turn.”
603.7d If a spell creates a delayed triggered ability, the source of that delayed triggered ability is
that spell. The controller of that delayed triggered ability is the player who controlled that spell
as it resolved.
603.7e If an activated or triggered ability creates a delayed triggered ability, the source of that
delayed triggered ability is the same as the source of that other ability. The controller of that
delayed triggered ability is the player who controlled that other ability as it resolved.
603.7f If a static ability generates a replacement effect which causes a delayed triggered ability to
be created, the source of that delayed triggered ability is the object with that static ability. The
controller of that delayed triggered ability is the same as the controller of that object at the time
the replacement effect was applied.
My mistake, some things do indeed slip through. Apologies for any confusion.
People seem to think that sundial is good against instants, even going so far as to compare it to Teferi. It is not Teferi.
It will never really counter an instant when it's relevant because they won't walk into it (remember it's in play for everyone to see!) unless it's to their benefit to end the turn right there, in which case it's also pretty bad. It can't stop counter spells, which are really the only instants that are completely shut as sorceries (why teferi was the nuts, ignoring the occasional suspend disabler and just being a 3/4 with flash; man that card was sweet). Also in multiples, beyond just being a bad card as a one of, it will cripple you if you draw two.
The only likely way it will see play is in some stasisesque combo deck, and I doubt that it will.
As for Chandra, she really doesn't seem worth splashing and seems worse than the original Chandra in control and worse than Koth in control/aggro/midrange. The +1 rarely protects her (x/1's don't see a lot of constructed play and if they do it's in the deck you don't want to be tapping four to deal with one against anyways; her +6 is pretty good but takes for ever to build up to and might not be worth bringing her down if you do; and her -2 brings her to 1 unless you spend forever to build it up.

Don't click this. I mean it. No, seriously. I said not to click it. The world might blow up. Even if you just think about it. BOOM. See? The whole world could've just blown up and it would've been all your fault. Just don't click this.

sundial is an odd card. not quite time stop, but i can see uses in stopping other people from casting instants at the end of your turn
