Hornet Queen feels like an M-set plant to me. I don't mind that at all though, because the Commander version will be non-foil and an M-set reprint will solve the foil problem. It is quite the juicy Wild Pair target since it provides a very nice set of blockers. Makes the surprise alpha-strike a little easier to manage. Gets sillier with copy effects none the less. I like. Mana cost is a bit steep at triple green, but that's what cheating is for.
Edit: Any indication of if tokens will come in the precons like they do with the Duel Decks? It's going to suck if they don't, as I don't recall anything else making similar tokens.
Zedruu as a Donate on a stick? Sign me up for one of those! I've always wanted to try something similar to Donate Illusions in Commander. Can't get any more entertaining than that.

Signs point to yes. Magic 8 ball reference aside, I think we'll have to wait until M12 comes around to know for sure; it just seems too much like a core set card at this point. They might even print something similar to Hornet Queen in the core set so the tokens could be printed en masse then. But I have a sneaking suspicion that hornet tokens are going to be included just like Beast tokens were in Garruk vs. Liliana.
I first thought Hornet Queen was oddly overcosted until I noticed she makes babies. Now that's nice.
Zedruu is... ok, I guess. If you're already set with Islandwalkers and whatnot, give your opponent one of your Islands and start attacking unhindered while drawing more cards per turn But other than that....
Good find. One one hand it sounds stupid and unkind to print a new Card and don't include the tokens (on paper).
On the other hand it's very likely that they designed this card for another set then because I agree, it's unlikely that they made the art just for Modo.
Im guessing we will see her in Inistrad then
Every single token has art on MODO. Even old ones that were released before they printed useful token cards.

Yes, they do commission art just for MODO tokens.
Not all of them; some older ones haven't had art commissioned for them and just have blank space in their art box. Sand Warrior tokens made by Hazezon Tamar are a good example.

I don't think this is true (anymore?). I played a Commander game with someone using Hazezon Tamar and I'm pretty sure his tokens had art. NB: It was a promo Hazezon, maybe that signifies.

Perhaps I was wrong about this. I've never seen a token w/o art on MODO, but I don't play that much.
However, I *do* know for sure that there are tokens that only exist on MODO and nowhere else, which proves that they do make art just MODO tokens.
Fair enough. I have personally seen lots without art though. From what I remember, they come with a black picture box with the Magic "M" in the center.
Yep, that's what they look like.
There definitely are tokens with art on MODO that don't exist in any printed card version, but they don't (yet?) have art for every single one.
The new RWU "Santa Claus" general is currently my favorite to use in group games. The extra draw and life gain have been absolutely back breaking, and exactly what I've needed for my Draw/Go/Burn deck to be effective in multiplayer.
After pumping up Ruhan of the Fomori with the "Vow of..." auras, I can gain allies just by granting them control of the enchantments with Zedruu! That guy can be an absolute beast.

Wow, now that is hilarious. I am definitely going to retool my deck to be able to do that. Thank you for that bit of fun tech.
BTW, new commander sucks... 3 mana to use its ability is too much
Zedruu had been spoiled earlier by leaked information, so most discussion is over in that thread.

And while he might not be super good, Emberwilde Djinn has spot-on flavor for Political Puppets.
The deck that she comes in doesn't have them, no.
And that's another fail for WotC. Seriously why do they only put them in duel decks?
