Finally some card I enjoy... more or less. The fact that it's uncommon is the icing on the cake. Nice sideboard card. I like 3 cards out of 223 :D.
About the mage, I think the best of the cycle is the blue one. Noone talks about it but I think it will see competittive play, since a 2/1 for 2 is not that bad if the guy draws you cards at the end of your opponent's turns...
While your love for magniloquence is noted, mayhap you would desire to increase your perspicuity though prudent mitigation of your verbose tenancies. Lest your meaning become opaque to the average board farer.
Are you accusing him of obfuscating his point with unnecessary verbiage?
That blue under his hand - that's not part of his coat. In the larger art in MaRo's article, you can see better that it is some kind of crystal ball. So, now we know where scry went - the Master Thief stole it.
I know that, what I meant was this: It doesn't show him in the progress of stealing something, but running.
Ofc you can argue that this may be an integral part of stealing, but what a crappy thief would he be if it was...
hahaha im surprised my mind didnt instantly jump to this. Now im nicknaming this guy antoine!!
I like both of these cards alot, glad the green one in the cycle does something at least semi-relevant. Master thief is a boss, really glad he is an uncommon

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.

Did he mean wayfarer as opposed to board farer? Joking! He can be a board-farer all he wants. And did he mean perspicacity as opposed to perspicuity? LOL.
Both are good, Master Thief could be killer in my Riku deck. "Ok, I'll take your ___ and his ___." (probably sol ring or greaves for one or both slots).
Kinda disappointed that when I saw the first few words of Master Thief's text on Twitter, I thought it'd be 'Gain control of target creature', like a flightless Sower of Temptations, but alas it was not to be Wish they pushed the power level and made it rare.
I guess they couldn't get away with having Master Thief having extraordinarily large ears with flavor text "Possession is eleven-tenths of the law", huh?

Cool thief art does not depict a disguised thief slowly waltzing out of a building with the stolen goods hidden in his bag.
Although that seems like it would be cool art for another thief if done right, on second thought.
Jade Mage - Not sure what jade has to do with Saprolings (other than being green) but it's a great card. Curves out nicely if you don't have a 3rd turn play in hand, and of course in the late game is still relevant. I would play it!
Master Thief - Stealing artifacts feels more Pirate-y to me but it works as is. Power level is decent enough but kind of on the weak side I think. If he permanently stole the item it would definitely be playable. And he's yet another M12 artifact link.
M12: The most artifact-linked core set. In fact it gives Mirrodin a run for its money!
Master Thief is full of win. Couple it with Spellskite and you've got Control Magic and a 2/1 that can't be Pierced or Negated. And need I comment on Moeller's art? Good show old boy, good show!

I expect with this [Transform] mechanic that everyone playing a Werewolf tribal deck will say "Autobots, rollout!" whenever the majority of their army transforms.
"I know, that's why I keep it safe on top of my library."
That's when I reach over and kill the card with fire.

Jade Mage and Azure Mage look like they would make an awesome Control deck in Extended. Either drop them early and beat face against control, or wait till later and drop them for huge CA swings.

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.

The Master Thief looks like some Mortal Kombat costume for one of the non-ninja ninjas.

Anyways, they're both good cards. Master Thief might actually see constructed play.

And Master Thief is ok. Works well against equipment, that's for one.
