Join Forces - Starting with you, each player may pay any amount of mana. Each player may search his or her library for up to X Basic land cards, where X is the total amount of mana paid this way, puts them onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffles his or her library.

i can see it as being real since we already have something that does it, and this just screams green cycle with allied whateverthehell.

it literally gives anyone running Green in their deck a way to force nothing but gas, because everyone is going to dump all their available mana into it. just to thin their decks and ramp themselves an epic asston, just forces you to run more basics than most EDH builders are comfortable with.

I don't play green... but I'm gonna be happy as all hell whenever someone casts this. Doubly so if I'm running my Azami deck. This is just sick!
As for speculation on the rest of the cycle, Blue card drawing would make thematic sense... it'll probably be gimped with a "may draw up to" wording to keep it from being an instant win condition in combination with things like Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar that replace card draws. Without that, it would be too easy to ramp into a load of mana or combo into infinite and force everyone to draw their decks while you technically escape "drawing" cards.
My other guess would be that they could tap into the Braids, Conjurer Adept/Show and Tell mechanic and have people dump X permanents onto the battlefield. That could be pretty sexy, and much splashier than "cards for everybody!"
I'm just trying to imagine it...
Guy A plays it during turn 3, resolves and pays 2... Guy B, C and D didn't have anything to do for 3 turns and pays 3 each... each searches for 11 basics! O.O
talk about going hyperdrive!

I love these Commander cards! Most of them are exciting me more than any cards I see in normal expansions, and they all have amazing art too. I have a feeling that a lot of these are going to find their way into non-EDH casual decks of mine.
Combo with Amulet of Vigor and the greed of other players!

Wow. I half-expected this, but it still makes me shake my head and wonder why Wizards would do something this dumb. This is the kind of thing that would make me scoop every time it gets played.
BLARGH!!!!! STOP THEM!!! Stop them from printing cards with this mechanic. This is such a miserable excuse for a card. Everyone untaps with 8-12 lands!!!!!! NO!!!! GTFO!
