Very quick changing topic. This confirms no Sensei's Top and many junk rares, definitely impressed with creatures though.

If this list is indicative, all will have the vows. Do you know for sure OP?

I find it very interesting that, with all the powerful utility lands present in this format, Wizards didn't include any spot land destruction, even in the form of Ghost Quarter or Tectonic Edge. Wasteland was never going to happen, but after Sol Ring was announced, I was at least expecting Strip Mine.

Also, is there a thread for Homeward Path? I haven't seen that one yet.

Each deck has one of the legends designated as commander. Riku is the one for this deck.

It was spoiled quite early, just not shown as new card here.

Surprised nobody has commented on the very interesting fact that not only are they putting mythics other than the legends in these boxes, but also that there's a planeswalker in it too! This marks the first occasion (besides the duel decks, which had very low print runs and often got marked up at LGSs) that Planeswalkers are easily accessible to the casual market. Assuming that they try to balance each deck, which planeswalkers will we see in the other decks? Lorwyn 5? Or will they make things more interesting than that and include more interesting and necessary cards like Elspeth, Knight Errant or Koth of the Hammer (maybe less likely on the latter, if they want to kill sales on Scars of Mirrodin packs).

The decks aren't balanced in any real way, they likely have similar numbers of mythics or rares, but not with planeswalkers it seems. I think this is the only one with a planeswalker in it so far and one that isn't exactly flashy for EDH.

It is unusual for sure to include them, but it might be to balance power level this deck has compared to other ones. Also, this deck has doesn't have Solemn Simulacrum, which Garruk may balance slightly.

As far as I can tell, they havent put any consistently played EDH PWs, like Sorin or Liliana in these, although there is one left to be spoiled.

You can't get the cards anywhere else, the command tower itself should command a decent price, since every multicolour edh deck needs it and these precons are the only way. I would be looking at it more for the fact, this is the ONLY way to get cards that may not get printed outside this product and have massive appeal (and future value).

If the Garruk being printed in this one is the M12 Garruk, I'm buying.

I may buy anyway.

Besides Animar the Awesome, I'm not a big fan of this list. It doesn't seem to be as coherent as others (like the Devour deck). For example, I don't see how Death by Dragons fits into this deck, or how Conundrum Sphinx works in EDH, er, Commander, in a deck that isn't running Sensei's Divining Top or Sylvan Library (i.e. you already know your top card). It seems like they traded other "value" cards for Garruk Wildspeaker (I wasn't expecting a planeswalker) and lost track of the flavour of this deck.

That's kinda funny, don't you think? Wizards is cutting back LD in standard and they print it in a casual format (even if to say take that you dual land owning rich people) where people will just tell the one who cast it, "Really?" Mixed signals much.

Ruination is totally fine. It gives an incentive to play mono or two color decks against the those that are three or more. Since those kinds of decks rely on having more nonbasics, it seems like a perfectly legitimate strategy to win. I see decks with all nonbasic manabases with all the necessary dual lands from their colors all the time in my local play groups. Why shouldn't I be allowed to punish them for this decision?

Ruination doesn't even have to be back braking at all. Just simply play more basics. Its a very simple solution to it.

I swore they wouldn't put mass land kill in these decks since it goes again the "casual fun" of their normal precons, but Ruination is a great inclusion!

This deck looks like an absolute blast to play! Relatively strong Instants and Sorceries, a way to copy them, and ramp to actually get them out.

Riku is amazing. He's a very powerful general to have on the board, but ya better get a greaves out first, because he's a huge target, as well.

I can't agree more. Mulldrifter was one of the first cards that came to mind when I saw Animar. Seems like, what else would you do with the mana that you save than draw cards to keep them coming? Mulldrifter just happens to both draw cards and put counters on Animar, but apparently he is not teh stompie!@! enough.
