Maze of Ith anybody? It's a multi-player staple just as Sol ring is.
That would rock...especially if it's with the new art.
yes plz! and Politcal Puppets really should have a Bribery, as well (i got rid of all mine many years ago when they weren't worth the cardstock they were printed on :crying:).
WHy does wizards keep reprinting banned cards in intros?
Some banned cards like Demonic Tutor, Dark Ritual, and Sol Ring are still fun cards. Just because they can cause problems in constructed doesn't mean they shouldn't be reprinted at all. It's no worse than reprinting some limited fodder because it makes a duel deck matchup play better.
Both Ith and Top are played in legacy, so I would guess not. Then again, I guess against Sol Ring too.
Islands are played in Legacy too. I think we'll see those reprinted.
Because of Mystifying Maze I don't think we'll see Maze of Ith although it wouldn't surprise me either way. Top is a fun card and helps draws in EDH I think for "Commander 2" we'll see Top. Not this time though.

I just want people who redraft to admit this:
"I can't draft objectively unless I am able to guarantee that I receive at least 3 rares. I am also better than most average/new players so I want to make sure that I get the best rares and they end up with worse ones. I care more about the monetary value of cards than actually playing the game for decent prizes."
Mm I love the idea for Sol Ring in the EDH decks. Incredible.
I really don't hope for Tops, they just slow down the game in an already slow format
Problem is that people already own tops and not printing more of them results in one group of people having an advantage with little to no difference in play speed as a whole. Really, most players will Top during other players turns, just like they will continue searching off of their ramp spell while the next player takes their turn.
Wizards has printed dozens of Sol Ring variants yet they still included it. We'll see.
Wizards has not printed dozens of Sol Ring variants. The only card that comes close to being a variant of Sol Ring is Mana Crypt. Just because a card costs colorless mana and taps for colorless mana does not make it a variant on Sol Ring.

That being said, I just don't see Maze of Ith or SDT in here, because they are big in Legacy, unlike Sol Ring for obvious reasons. For the same reason, I could see either Strip Mine, Ghost Quarter or Tectonic Edge instead of the Wasteland that the masses are clamoring for.

Mystifying Maze removes a creature from combat just as Maze of Ith does, and at the same time offers other advantages. Ith is not strictly better than Mystifying. It is better, but there are times when I'd rather have the Mystifying, especially in EDH. Sol Ring is strictly better than all colorless artifact makers other than Mana Crypt (I may be missing some here, but I can't think of any off the top of my head).
I'd never liked Maze of Ith because it doesnt give any mana and Mystifying Maze gives you mana... although you need to pay 4 mana to activate Mystifying Maze you are "removing" the creature from the game and returning it back, effectivly destroying tokens, detaching equipments and knocking out enchantments/counters... just something to think about.
Nah it's a pretty dark picture, which makes the card not stand out nearly as much as the judge foil version.

Mythics are too Damn expensive!

That's right! I have one too.

I actually think Maze is very likely. Top is 50/50 IMO... Well we'll see in a few days!
A top would definitely be cool. Though I'm curious what the manabases will look like. Maybe they'll be tropical islands and savannahs. Probably not...
How about getting free Crystal Balls instead of Tops?
Sol Ring is banned in Legacy and that has been a big part of the argument as to why it's in here - or rather why Legacy staples are not.
WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.

POP QUIZ!
Maze of Ith:Mystifying Maze as
Sol Ring:_______________
A.) Chimney Imp
B.) Sorrow's Path
C.) Worn Powerstone/Ur-Golem's Eye/Sisay's Ring/Mana Crypt
D.) Wood Elemental
Answer = C.
The weaker colorless artifacts that tap for 2 compare to Sol Ring just as Mystifying Maze compares to Maze of Ith (or Crystal Ball to SDT).

BW Titan control
.............. that would be cool, but im still holding onto hope that theyll be the guru lands WITH the new border template.
Sol Ring is also not strictly better than either of them (although it's obviously better most of the time).
