Per today's making magic collumn, New Phyrexia will have 90% phyrexian cards and 10% mirran cards.
The prevailing speculation put it at 80-20, but this set truly WILL feel like new phyrexia with those numbers.
Also, a solid confirmation of infect in red and proliferate in other colors.

Additionally, the revelation that the block was originally planned to start with New Phyrexia could finally explain the trademarks that showed up back in 2009. The plan could have been NPH-SOM-MPure in the original imagining of the story.
Just read this. Very nice. Infect in red is interesting. It also mentions that one color doesn't get proliferate. Between red and white, I wouldn't doubt red is the color that doesn't get it. Out of all the colors, red seemed best at avoiding Phyrexia's influence.

Eh, as far as limited goes, all are pretty reasonable, except for flayer husk. I'm excited by more living weapons. Draft is going to be a nightmare, though, for the first few times. x/G and x/B Infect is going to be *everywhere.*

A big fat meh to infect in red; I'm sure it'll be okay, but I really, really want red Phyrexia to be all about crazy sacrificing and Graveyard triggers.

Meh. Flayer Husk and Skinwing are my two most favorite living weapons at present.
On a side note, One with Nothing can now be used as a defensive mechanism against All Will Be One.
WotC hates humans, I mean they don't even employee any. Rosewater is a hobbit, Gottlieb is a gremlin, and Brian David Marshall is apparently some sort of sexy beast.

Interesting. That could also imply that this story will get another block at some point, so that it can finish the original arc.

I'm certain of that

The goal of this block was to reintroduce the Phyrexians as villains and establish that they are truly a malevolent force in the multiverse. Don't worry, this isn't the last you're going to see of them.

Doubtful. They were having a hard time coming up with the story for the first arc to begin with. I don't think that explains the trademarks the way that was just suggested. Based on the article, they ended up deciding that New Phyrexia should be the third set, but they didn't want everyone to know right away, so they made up "Mirrodin Pure" as the mock set name, then made Scars of Mirrodin for the new story arc. Then they copyrighted all of those names. Knowing that we check those copyrights, it was the best move to keep the true identity of New Phyrexia as secret as they did.
If Red is getting a "burn" Infect card. It will 9/10 be over costed. We technically have a bootleg burn spells in terms of Virulent Wound and Pistus Strike. Which none of them see too much play. So for red to get something decent like Virulent Wound but doesn't need a creature dying would be pretty crazy.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.

It will also bring the factions closer to each other in numbers, as SOM had much more Mirran cards than NPH will have the Phyrexian ones.
More bonehoards and mortarpods and less skinwings would be much appreciated

That doesn't mean we'll be back on New Phyrexia. More likely is that the Phyrexian presence will extend itself beyond the plane of Mirrodin.
