I have updated my articles on QuietSpeculation.com with some numbers that might help you choose which faction to pick at the prerelease when looking for the best card values.
noticed a problem with the booster ripper, the foils are factioned in the virtual booster, but I don't think they will be in the real boosters. minor point. also, I just noticed that viridian emissary is going to rock.
I'm going to choose which side has the least amount of players at my local event, just to balance things out. I like the Mirran Creatures more, but I like the phyrexian noncreatures more....I'm stuck and can't figure this out lol. I take Tezzies side!
The "evasion" list. Note Mirrans have much more evasion creatures in common, and low CC. Beware Mirran decks with a lot of little flyers.
The "removal" List. As expected, Phyrexians have more removal. But some of them only put one single -1/-1 counter. Mirran have better single card like Go for the throat and relic-warder.
The "Direct damage" list. Mirrans have amost all of them.
The "Poison" list. This include infect creatures and spells that directly give poison counters. Donot include cards only profilerate. You can see a lot of commons.
And "metalcraft". Amazingly, there's not much. if you want to build metalcraft you have to open very good SoM packs.
Finally the "battle cry" list.... Really good cryers are all Mythic.

Likewise, if I choose Phyrexian my SoM packs will be mostly decent in red or white.
I can just sense this coming.
When you choose Phyrexian you either end up BG or BU with the chance of BGu.
