The way I see it the turbine basically just makes the Battlesphere cost 5 mana. Might be cool.
each poops out a battlesphere each turn, thats got to be worth something.
However if battlesphere is the only finisher myrs have it might not be very useful.
attacking creatures g(ain Battle cry ?)
Until end of turn
I don't think that would work, rules wise. Battlecry triggers when a creature attacks, if you give an already attacking creature battle cry, it does nothing :/

attacking creatures g(ain Battle cry ?)
Until end of turn
Looks as if there's a significant amount of text covered by the other lands in the pile. All that information is crammed at the bottom of the card. Maybe something saying who controls the land at any given time, hence the "contested" part of the name?

do you think it's still comes into play tapped though? because looking at it you have the inkmoth which looks to be the phyrexian land. i just thought maybe since the phyrexia land came into play untapped then both should. idk the tapp for 1 text is aweful far down on the land.
Either it Battlecries on its own by giving +1/+0, or it does what you said. Obviously Battlecry would be much better, but I'm not optimistic.
it can't battlecry on its own, unless its a manland. battlecry triggers on attack
just guessing (can't read the text) but "contested war zone" seems an awful lot like a "player with the most creatures gains control of this at EOT or BOU"
the very limited bit we can see of the last line above "taps for 1" has 3 clearly visible bottoms to letters
they appear to the the bottom to C O N, but it could be G A I N. However, I think the first letter is a capital letter, which makes it questionable. If it was "gains control of ..." it wouldn't be "gains Control of ...."

Exactly. The edge of the text including the word "Contested" is just barely visible underneath the edge of the plains card.

it says "attacking creatures gain" so the only way it could be battlecry if it granted all creatures attacking battlecry until the end of turn. this would be far too good i think however because of how many triggers each creature would get. it would end up being 1 tapp for +5/0 to all attacking creatures. that no longer seems balanced lol. maybe it's something to go along with battlecry like First strike which is a really relevant ability in a deck with lots of battle cry creatures.

ah contested, that would explain the capital letters. Yeah, its likely a condition that hands control of the card over to a player based on something if its self referencing. However, I sincerely doubt it would be:
Contested War Zone
Land
~ Enters the battlefield tapped
At the beginning of your upkeep, the player with the most creatures gains control of Contested War Zone. If two or more players are tied, you choose one, that player gains control of Contested War Zone T: Add 1 to your mana pool T: Attacking creatures gain Battle cry until end of turn.
I'm doubting all of that actually. In the first ability, it wouldn't say "Contested War Zone again" in the templating, it would just say you choose in a tie breaker. So I think we can rule that out. Also, I doubt there is enough room on the card for "Battle cry" after the "gains" on the side there. I think it has to be +1/+0 or otherwise straight bonus, or else it would move down to the next line. Also, giving battle cry to all creatures would be pretty flat broken
what if the card was ironic and did grant battle cry to all creatures- except it gave control of itself to whoever has the least creatures.
Now that would be quite silly design, but it would balance it.....
It should say Tap 5 untapped Myr creatures you control: Search your library for a Myr creature card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library. Repeat until there are no more Myr Battlespheres in your library.
idk. The island in op's pack looks like its SOM Island #236.
i already mentioned this but i guess no one pays attn to my posts.
When we recieved information about the new-art basic lands, we were told that they would be put in packs in addition to the SOM ones. IE, your pack can contain any of the SOM lands or any of the MBS lands

Can't remember where (maybe this thread even), but it was rumored that a pack would contain a Besieged or Scars basic land. Not confirmed though, but makes sense for why the OP has a Scars land pictured.

You only need one Myr Battlesphere to win... why would you use the tokens from one to search up another? That would be like searching up forests with a Primeval Titan so you could play more Primeval Titans.
I'm not too acquainted with limited (and standard) but does anyone else think that the Ardent Recruit could become similar to Steppe Lynx? If you can hit metalcraft on turn 1/2 then a 3/3 one drop seems pretty huge

Those 10 slots are to be used for basic lands with art portraying further corruption by the phyrexians x.x

Awww, not even then something like the "snow" stuff from the Ice Age block will be used on them? ... really disappointing. just flavourful.
They could have actually used those slots more wisely, but some people may find those lands appealing and as a hint for the future set.
It has to be 'get +1/+0'.
It fits the activation cost, it makes sense.
I like that card quite a bit.
