The hell, Wizards? 6 colorless for a 6/6 is already pushing it insanely, but to tack on effects too? I better start seeing a new bear that's 1G for a 4/4.
I dont think so... The idea is to make just a few good cards per set and then fill it with lots of cards that, can be good in other scenarios, but are unplayable when you have things like this around.
Five years ago that card would have driven the Magic world mad with desire. Today, I think players have become so jaded to P/T inflation that it's just another beatstick. Is it fair to say that this kind of stuff doesn't really feel mythic anymore?
Hopefully it gets the attention of its target audience, but is not an indicator of things to come with SoM. The set needs more than just big, blunt artifact creatures to woo me.
Maybe it's time to add a new rarity? I call super-freaking-mythic
I believe WoTC's new policy is to make sure that every color can enjoy the exciting gameplay mechanic of making undercosted dudes and then turning them sideways. Clearly the future of magic.

I honestly believe that this thing is pretty close to Baneslayer in power level. I'm getting my hands on as many as is possible at the pre-release. It's resilient to removal, impossible to race, and eats their dudes for lunch. Lack of evasion is unfortunate, but that bitterblossom card isn't around anymore.

I'm guessing that it's 'and' and not 'or', as Wizards has tried to push the mythic rarity and splitting into its two component parts makes for a much more flavorful card, even if it does retread a bit into Mitotic Slime territory.
Also, it's interesting to note that it doesn't have any of the new keywords. The last bunch of prerelease mythics have shown off Landfall, Multikicker, and Eldrazi-ness. Not sure if that means anything or not.

Awakening Zone is, but still, you'll gain 6 life a turn.
Ugh, can anyone read the collector's number?

WoTC, thank you for finally announcing the Modern format, an eternal format where everyone can participate.
This card is stupid good, if it's an 'and' instead of an 'or', we'll have one of the best cards in Standard here. It's a freakin' colorless 6 drop that offers potentially 12 power, with good abilities!
Are you SERIOUS?
This makes Grave Titan look stupid, and a bad deck choice.

Wow, I'm definitely impressed. If you ask me what a 6/6 lifelink, deathtouch artifact creature should cost I would definitely say 6+ mana. Tack an extra insolvability element on there and you're definitely looking at 7 mana. I guess that's the power of the mythic rarity.
In terms of how this affects standard it certainly remains to be seen. Mirrodin had a ton of good ways to deal with artifacts so while it's undercosted for what it does it has the biggest drawback you can have in an artifact block - being an artifact!
This will definitely get me to the prerelease though!
Which reminds me, I hope they print another reanimate effect in Scars. I liked makeshift mannequin a lot, its "Drawback" prevents opponents from exiling your wurmcoil engine etc.
I strongly believe that it says "and" for two reasons:
- It's a wurmcoil, it's clearly made of two different wurms, one organic and one mechanichal bounded together probably by phyrexian magic, so it makes sense that when destroyed it separates in two
- The translator that I used and my little knowledge of Japanese says that there is a "de" (aka "and") in the text

I would agree, although having to choose makes it strategically deeper.
Regardless, it's almost certainly "or." Even the TO who confirmed the original spoiler says it looks like an "or." (Although no one can be completely sure, since they're reading from a small illustration on a poster.)
@Karham - You're translator is translating the Japanese text the OP copied, which says "and." But a lot of 2ch posters believe it's an "or." The issue is the character at the fourth line of the card, beneath the watermark.
トークンを1体か would be "or"
トークンを1体と would be "and."

You're right, I was looking at the copied text assuming it's exactly the same
Anyway, I do not recognize many of the chars on the photo, so... you're probably right

It is good to learn from your failures, but I prefer to learn from the failures of others.
