I agree with this statement. I do like the Phyrexian one a lot more than the Mirran one, but I think I'll stick with my "What Color Would You Like Me To Beat You With Today?" and ":symtap: That Ass" shirts.
Heh, looks like Troll Ascetic has been spreading his doctrine :3 As someone who often plays green, I love Asceticism and I can't wait to try using it. All the same, I can't help but feel that it's still outclassed by Eldrazi Monument...
The Mamba may be the best 1G snake yet. At Common? Sweet!
WITHSTAND DEATH may be the best 1 cost mana combat trick yet - because it doubles as a 'save my favorite creature' in *** situations. Also at Common - this answers Bolt all day long - for the same cost/speed.
I tend to be a blue player and avoid greens big dumb fatties. But everyonce and a while a card like Asceticism comes around and has the feeling of Enlightenment etc like Isao, Enlightened Bushi or Azusa, Lost but Seeking and it makes me want to give green a chance.
That said, I am aware that it is probably not standard or constructed worthy but the flavor text and that art and the fact that it is the Last Troll makes me fall in love with this card. I don't seem myself playing it any time soon but I love it nonetheless.
Exoskeleton seems like fun! The Tide is epic, and should win within a turn or two in a decently strong poison deck. Will probably find its greatest success with walkers, though.
Ascetism is neat. Doesn't look like a major constructed factor to me, though maybe it could work in ramp or elves?
There is almost no reason to have a card that grants a creature infect. If you are playing constructed, all of your creatures will have infect already, and the effects do not stack. In limited, your infect creatures will effectively be fighting with your non-infect creatures to see which ones kill the opponent first. In a deck with infect and non-infect cards, infect serves as simply wither and reduces all damage done to players to 0 for that creature.
Asceticism is obscene and a slap in the face to Black...seriously WotC? It's not like Grip of Darkness or Vendetta were exactly broken, now were they? Was Doom Blade and Deathmark just gonna own the meta or something too when Shards rotates?
Meh, a bunch of unexciting cards. Sphinx seems pretty sweet, but definitely needs to be placed in the right deck. I would love to slot him in my deck over Jwar Isle, but I don't have the artifact count for him. In the right deck though, that guy is a house.
All I have to say to those enchantments is this: War Priest of Thune!

There's better more efficient ways to pump your infect creatures. The only reason I can see why you may want this equipment is if we get the second coming of Morphling in the foreseeable future.
did we really need another way to proliferate? contagion engine still seems better. most turns you're not going to be casting more than 2 spells and the engine has some removal plus the average cost of two spells is more than 4 colorless anyway.
the other cards are cool.

Question about the equipment, if they take controll of the creature someone (either you giving it to them or them stealing it) and then you reequip it onto a creature you still control, will they have to sacrifice that creature?

Yes, BUT that equipment + indestructible creatue = win.
Infect and poison are in actually different things... funny how many still don't get that.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
Withstand Death- Not good enough for standard but in limited it's an okay trick.
Inexorable Tide- 3UU is expensive but tacking proliferate onto all you spells is a powerful effect, still i'm thinking that it'll be more of a casual johnny card than anything else.
Asceticism- giving every creature Troll Ascetic's ability is powerful but 3GG is too expensive.
Blight Mamba- Now this is a solid card not only is it a cheap green infect creature but it has regeneration. In standard it's doubtful but the ability to cast this 2nd turn and then kill your opponent on 3rd turn with 3 Giant Growth or other pump spells is pretty cool.

I have a gut feeling not many infect decks are going to go out of their way to run a few indestructible creatures just for this card, it just doesn't sound efficient to do that.
