It's interesting, but I'm not too sure what it'll actually do in terms of constructed. Casual Myr decks, sure thing though.

Ask yourselves, all of you, what power would hell have if those imprisoned here could not dream of heaven?

"On top of that, if you ever manage to T2 Lead the Stampede, fill your hand, and pitch two Vengevines on your cleanup phase, the sky rains kittens wearing tophats, each carrying a sock full of quarters. True story."
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
I love it. This is one of the most interesting lords we've seen in a while. Most just help you beat down. This one gives you easy access to infinite mana, and there have to be other things that we can do with all this untapping. Two of these, any of the mana producig ones, and a Coretapper gets you inifinite charge counters. Lodestone Myr gets +X/+X, and with options like Changlings and Conspiracy, lots of shnanegans may ensue. At the very least this demands a casual Myr-themed deck!
Assuming the Myr get some decent small beaters this could create enough support to have a viable Myr beatdown deck in standard!
Technically a 5 card combo as you need a card to use the mana with. Wizards did not miss this, lol, you people are silly. It's been tested, and it's not broken. I just don't see it being too viable if your deck is nothing but mana myrs, these, and a Fireball.
hmmm...
wotc has made tons of mistakes in the past, but i don't think this will be on that level. still, you cant say wotc tested mirrodin cards... coz after all... skullclamp
I thought their policy was "Combo is inherently broken, we will try not to print anything that will ever see any tournament play."
i doubt making the game less diverse is really a policy they'd try to enforce.
after seeing the decks people have been playing in standard for the past couple years, i'd welcome some viable combo decks.
Goblin Warchief was definitely big time...that is before Goblin Chieftan usurped his spot in the deck.
they had their day, and chieftain was prolly the only eternal worthy one. but perfect makes infinite tokens with just 2 other cards, while reejerey has a merrow base
I opened one last year, got two crap worldwake packs and 8x scathe zombies, which I promptly hid around my sister's apartment for her roommates to find. But, yeah, it was a piece of crap.
You, sir, have just won the internet. Congratulations.
Turn 4, fireball for 10,000 To every target possible.
Negate...with mana up for a backup Negate.
sorry to be a buzzkill.
i used to play a deck that could do that during Mirrodin 1.0 standard. (KCI)
sadly, it was overshadowed by some other artifact-based deck we shall not name that ended up getting the key pieces to the combo banned, so it never got the moment in the limelight it deserved.

Yeah... Also, I realized that it doesn't actually do it by itself, and then edited my post... and in response I cancel your negate, and the next one too. My parade does not require rain, thank you very much.

Yeah sure you only need 3 mana myrs and 2 copies of the lord. 5 cards with 2 of the same is such an easy combo, and you have at best a bunch of 2/2s to protect you... Some people seem to be actively seeking reasons to complain. Maybe you think it makes you cooler than reasonable people.
Outside of mana shenanigans, there isn't much to do with this lord. Myr aggro decks aren't excatly the most efficient ones. It could change with SoM. Ichroclaw being a good start.
Have you devolped and tested scars? No. Can't bag myr aggro yet. Mirriodion 1 can't be used as a example.

Merrow Reejerey, Wizened Cenn, Imperious Perfect, Daru Warchief, and Undead Warchief say hi.

My biggest concern with the combo is drawing cards.
hmmm...

Negate, Reverberate, Platinum creature of choice, Leyline of Sanctity, just to name a few.
Scourge had an entire cycle of them.
i doubt making the game less diverse is really a policy they'd try to enforce.

the onslaught cycle isn't as big time as reejerey, although it sucks that they arent exactly a cycle coz soulstroke is rare

and still isn't played.
i agree that Reejeray is great, tho.
Seriously.....wtf is up with this new set. Everything I see just makes me sadder.

Captain Sisay (In work)
While he could make for a fun casual deck, he could be serious in draft/sealed deck. I'd love to draft a myr deck.
