Normally I'd post not to get too excited. Looks more like a Razormane Masticore than the the more popular Masticore, to me. The original Masticore's body was never machine-looking like that. But, after how they butchered the Phyrexian Negator's artwork and made it look purely organic... who knows.

Negators were organic creatures that had mechanical modifications. They were genetically engineered in vats, not built... Some were even purely organic, like the ones K'rrick made, or the one made by Devol to keep Croag in check (it didn't even have mechanical ears, so it wouldn't understand Phyrexian).
The Masticore is a different story, and we aren't really sure what it is as it's never mentioned in the books.

I'd chalk it up to artistic differences. Razormane Masticore wouldn't be "classic" enough to include in the set imho, and the face is certainly looking more like the original. I'd put money on Masticore now that they've officially stated their stance on this issue.

That's what I thought at first too, but why mention it in such a way that it sounded like "Speaking of foils from the reserve list, look at this!"? It seems like too obvious a plant.
Nah, Urza is on the guitar and Ajani is on bass. Nicol Bolas will be the drums next time and then Karn can be the keyboard. Jhoira can be the show girl, yup...
@Roqit: They kind of did with Duel Deck: Divine vs. Demonic.
As for me, I wish they'd bring back the World Championship decks, those were great for playtesting and looked really nice.
I have been playing Magic since 1994. I will NEVER use the terms 'battlefield', 'cast' or 'exile'. They will always be 'in play', 'play' and 'remove from game' to me. If you don't like it, too bad.
3 things religion does well: control people, delude people, divide people.
But honestly are they even played anymore? There are way cooler mythics we could have gotten for the phyrexians...
Well, seeing as they've not been Extended legal for a while, I doubt that they've seen much play lately. The article by Chris Millar basically says "We picked Negator because we wanted a mythic foil from the reserve list"
Yeah, there are cooler mythics that they could've chosen, but to go up against a deck that only has, what, 3 burn spells? Negator seems just fine with that pair of rituals that the Phyrexian deck has.

Wow mox diamond! A quick question, think the original mox diamonds will see a decline in price then? With more supply, it sounds like that would happen.
Looking back at FTV exiled... it did drop berserk's price but mox diamond is definitely no where near it in price or rarity.

Berserk's price barely went down, and that was really only because it got publicity due to the FTV set and everyone realized it doesn't get played ever so it shouldn't be worth nearly $100 (at least, that's my take on what happened).
FTV sets are such short print runs that they really can't have that much of an effect on secondary market values of previous versions of the card.

Na, Ixidor had that locked in years ago.

Sucks that Judges won't be getting anymore Reserved cards. I really depended on them to get some cool cards.
