I'm curious as to why it says colorless specifically. I think this hints that there will probably be a couple colored Eldrazi spells, because as a tribe, it could have just read "Eldrazi spells... etc"
It may be a case where all Eldrazi are colorless and it's just a means of dropping a hint.
Since it would be used for expensive costs, it could be that the Titans are colorless and the minions have the Eldrazi type and have color, but that's bad for an Eldrazi EDH deck.
Regarding the Eye, if I play Conspiracy and name Eldrazi in an all artifact deck, will now Eldrazi artifact creatures cost 2 less?
I apologize if this has already been asked.
Yes. They will be colorless Eldrazi spells, assuming that Eldrazi is added as a new creature type when Worldwake is released.

Selective Memory + Treasure Hunt could lead to some sort of silver bullet deck. Don't think that standard has enough silver bullets to support that though.
i think we are ALL forgetting the terrible card from M10
Im looking at a Mirror of Fate + Selective Memory Combo that seems alright.
Hoping this works out I stocked up on mirror of fates haha
Oh Eye of Ugin, how I love thee... Please stay away from my sealed pool... Abra dabra, Allah Kazaam, I will turn you into Giant Sphinx!
The only potential use this card has without the eldrazi spells in limited is that it will fetch up your useful artifacts... I sincerely doubt ZZW will be THAT slow. Tapping 8 of the lands you have in play for a tutor effect... That's almost half of a normal deck's lands. Not to mention that the next set will be drafted separately. Here's hoping this card shoots waay up in price so it isn't a total bummer to open in sealed. I know it's not meant for limited, but I can't think of a card more deflating to open. I'd rather pull Steamflogger Boss...
EDIT: but I like the design... even though Steamflogger Boss won more sealed games than this thing ever could barring a buncha awkward jank drafts. Even then, Steamflogger Boss still wins more jank draft games... it seems this thing is capital J-A-N-K for limited.
Did I mention that I've got my Steamflogger Boss playset?
Selective memory + swerve = gg everyone hahaha, the way the rules read on swerve it works and your opponent draws nothing but land because you remove everything that isnt a land from his deck. Meanest victory ever

I'm of two minds on the eye of Ugin; I would be disappointed to pull it but I think it is fun for its flavor. Imagine this relic radiating some odd power. With Worldwake we're finding this power in odd places (well, in lands) and this seems to continue that mystique of there being more to this world than meets the eye. (no pun intended).
If this is card is real, then all eldrazi are colourless or its the worst mythic ever forever (as aposed to being the worst mythic until RoE comes out).
Yes, it is real. So yeah.

They can't even comprehend nature. How could they improve it?
Eye of Ugin
Legendary Land
Colorless Eldrazi spells you cast cost {2} less to cast.
{7}, {T}: Search your library for a colorless creature card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
* Eye of Ugin doesn't have a mana ability.
* Eldrazi is a creature type that, as of the _Worldwake_ release, has not yet been printed on any creatures.
* Currently, only Mistform Ultimus and creatures with changeling are Eldrazi. If they become colorless, possibly due to Mycosynth Lattice, Eye of Ugin would reduce the cost to cast them by {2}.
* Eye of Ugin's second ability lets you find any colorless creature card in your deck, such as an artifact creature card that has no colored mana symbols in its mana cost, or a creature card that's become colorless due to Mycosynth Lattice.
Eldrazi is confirmed as a creature type, not some other subtype or type then.

"It's like Inception, but with beer instead of dreams!" - A member of my project team on how to convince our supervisor we have actually done some work.
Wizards printing Eye of Ugin in WWK is ridiculous. Why couldn't it wait for when there will be Eldrazi spells? Did the designers actually think we'd get a kick out of this because it references a card type that doesn't exist yet? That Eye of Ugin would generate huge speculation or something? Well, I guess we can deduce that there will be colorless spells that are not artifacts. The card does tell us something about what to expect from RotE. But I believe something like this could have waited until THAT set. As someone else put it in another thread, you might as well have another rules insert in your pack besides Eye of Ugin.
This wouldn't be the first time we got a sneak peek at something that didn't exist at the same time as a card's printed set. We had the same effect with one of the Kaldera equipment pieces(Shield if I'm correct). Then again, Shield of Kaldera could be used on it's own. I do believe that RotE will have coloress spells as a mechanic. The flavor and even card text on Ghostfire should be proof enough of that and Eye of Ugin helps that theory.
I hate when they print useless cards like Eye of Ugin a set ahead of time. It's stupid, and does nothing to help the game. There are a million ways to "hint" at Eldrazi (like Monument) without resorting to this bs.
Bleh. Just like Steamflogger Boss. Waste of cardboard, and it's insulting to us as players, who actually BUY the cards. Now I'm sure Eye will become useful, but the point remains the same.

The events that transpire at the Eye Of Ugin are what directly leads into the Rise Of The Eldazi, and the Eldrazi waking up/coming back. Think of it as a dramatic cliff hanger. You wouldn't want your cliff hanger to happen at the beginning of the next movie with nothing established leading into the next film with where the story is headed.
It's funny that in your blah-blah-logic-rant-blah rant you actually come to a faulty confusion. If Eldrazi is a creature type then the colourless part of the ruling removes interaction with Changelings.
Wow, good job on being able to recognize a logical argument. Because what you responded to definitely wasn't.
Although on the one hand I am definitely disappointed, by this time it's also a relief to get something official on this blasted card and what exactly it does.
There better be things worth using this clunker for once RoE hits standard, because tutoring for the eight creatures in standard currently meeting its requirements is hardly enticing.

Wait, I thought we established that Eldrazi will be a creature type in RotE since the card's spoil so that chameleon colossus can't get the bonus? Guess a repeat's good.
I certainly think that the Eldrazi would be VERY expensive to play, which is why a hefty 2 cost reduction is allowed on a land (of all things). Interestingly enough, I am getting the vibe that the Eldrazi would still cost quite a bit of coloured mana, just that it would be following Ghostfire's example.

To be fair, its only going to be mostly useless for two and a half months.
Wait, I thought we established that Eldrazi will be a creature type in RotE since the card's spoil so that chameleon colossus can't get the bonus? Guess a repeat's good.
Although it was less likely, Eldrazi could have been a new supertype, or some other classification of subtype (although I have no idea what that would be), so the FAQ was the first official mention that it's a new creature type. Which does make sense, since Eldrazi Monument was an artifact and a subtype cannot be shared by separate types of cards.
