so with these fetches you can landfall twice in one turn ??!
That's the idea

Well... i just went ahead and caved into impulse buy, went against what I was going to do, with troll n toad having the special "laborday" code for 10% off everything I was able to get the Zendikar boxes for 75 each including shipping!
somehow they went from 70+ to about 5 right now. Get a good deal while you can!
p.s not advertising for TnT just seeing a very good deal for the community, plus who would not want Fat Packs for about 25~ shipped, less if you buy more.
p.s.s a quick over scg shows a complete set w/o mythic for $499, if fetches are conservatively 10 a piece same for the new wrath then after u you figure that 250 value, the other 47 rares x 4 + playsets of the commons and uncommons is only 250? Seems like a good deal as well for now.
UG fetch is easily the most I guess. Amazing in every format. I'd say BG is the most after that...
Tbh, it's a little disappointing imho. It says "Sorry, monocolor just isn't popular in the polls", or "We need to have expensive lands in every set". Regardless, it just seems uncreative, and I think that it would be more interesting in both extended and standard for them to be a little less mana fixable.
Figured they'd print these sooner or later, but just in time to keep extended from being fetchless? You think they could go one season without them to find out what it'd do to the format... Kind of lamesauce, but I could care less. In that format I play burn because I'm poor.
Then again, the landfall theme was a pretty obvious sign that there'd be some sort of thing like this to make the stuff good. It makes perfect sense to print them for a set filled with cards that have triggered abilities based on lands hitting play (on your side, at least) so that's a plus at least...

And TnT is already sold out of Booster Boxes. At least I got one from TnT (my third) before they were all gone.

May your games be chaotic and your decks be Rogue.
This is bad news. While i'm very happy to see GOOD mAna fixing, this will only hurt an already extremely overly expensive standard. prepare to play the next year of standard with all the same *******s you already do. i wouldnt expect many new tournament players with standard prices as high as theyre gonna be. only thing they could do to fix it is print them in theme decks.

You're right. Reflecting Pool decks mana were just awful and everyone only plays single color decks due to the awfulness of the lands currently in standard.
Oh wait.
I was seriously hoping the speculation would have been just that, and that Terramorphic Expanse was the fetch to run in every landfall deck.
My hope of mono color is fading fast. This does help Wizards create more Rock decks in Extended.
Expect bannings in Extended people. They only want the rock viable.

I think you're overreacting. This will hardly change Extended, which used fetches willy-nilly because they found Shocklands anyway.

This pisses me off. I thought extended might actually get interesting instead of having decks that can always splash for Engineered Explosives and Ancient Grudge. Not to mention that if fetch lands were out that Zoo would be hurting something awful. At least TEPS is out, but that's about the only change coming to Extended. Oh no, we lost Sulfuric Vortex... please.

Sigh... I don't dislike them as cards, but I must say I'm a little bit irked that they chose now to print them. For one, they said when they printed M10 that they were trying to push the "allied-colors > enemy colors" idea by only printing the allied land cycle. Also, I would have like to see at least one Extended season without fetchlands, just to see how different it would be. Also, I'm kinda in a tight financial spot right now... would have liked to see these in a year or so instead

So I see you saw LSV's latest video, because every single thing you said was taken DIRECTLY from what he said. It's funny that you didn't mention a single other point though.
Really... first they functional reprint ***, and now fetchlands... way to cashgrab. Not that I really care though since I don't even own fetchlands. Seems good that I can finally afford them at a reasonable price rather than your $10-$15 or $60 playset.
Plus new border and art is always a plus in my book.

Funny that you say that, considering I haven't seen that or even know what he's said. This has all been from personal experience and observation of format for the past couple years.

If I remember correctly the "old" fetchlands also had been pretty expansive after they saw directly much play. If I´m not mistaken I bought mine (4x Windswept Heath and Bloodstained Mire) in those times for like 3$ cheaper than they are now?!?
(Could be mistaken, though)
The issue isn't really availability, though that will certainly impact the prices slightly, but more of how they interact with other cards. When they were printed, Shocklands weren't out yet. Once they were, the price went up instantly. Since shocks are already there in ext, these will be huge right out the door.
Enemy fetch lands in standard, i though i would never see the day. Looks like zendikar will be in high demand, probably more than when m10 peaked demand.
I'm having some mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, the cash-grabbing really annoys me: when the original fetches came out I remember having to quit Magic because I couldn't afford a decent manabase. Plus, what happened to the "no more lands that hurt you" premise? On the other hand, these lands are obviously awesome and fit perfectly with landfall and the new duals.
Well, we'll just have to come to terms with the fact that playing competitive standard comes with a 300$ entry fee now.
couple of things here. the no more lands that hurt you idea is something they were trying with core sets, not expansions. there are a lot of alternatives to the expensive lands but a competitive deck (standard or not) will always be expensive in its mana base. efficient land is a huge part of what makes it competitive. they make it easier to cast anything you need to after all. its been this way for...well...since the game was created. seriously.
i didn't necessarily mean to single you out with this, there are a lot of people saying these same things. i just think that to make these kinds of statements is pretty asinine and is nothing more than pointless complaining over the price of cards in a game that by its own nature is going to have cards worth more than others.
i like that these keep cards from reborn viable in more decks, where they otherwise wouldn't be because of the loss of ways to easily maintain the manabase necessary to cast them, but without making it ridiculous like vivid lands + reflecting pool.
I really love these lands and how they fit into the set. I will say though, that I think it's only appropriate, regardless of money issues (ie. players will have to pay a lot of money to get all the playsets), that they reprint the originals as well. I feel the time to start reusing the dual lands they already have is now, as a throwback to old players as well as a way to keep the prices and abilities of manabases stable. Just my take.
I'll also say that these lands work so amazingly in this set is crazy. With landfall, monocolor and 3 color themes from shards going in, they fit in either strategy. Because of Landfall, these could actually be used in monocolor decks, as they clean out the deck and trigger landfall, all for the price of 1 life.
I am very impressed (great art and name on this one too).
Much like the onslaught fetches, the awesomeness of these is only rivaled by how freaking much they're going to cost. All the good land cards cost ridiculous amounts of money.
