why is the token Gold?... I mean, up until now, all multicolor tokens were using the hybrid pattern... due to the fact that tokens have no casting cost, it doesn't matter, so why didn't wizards use the same pattern?

I'm aware of it being gold, but it's because it's 3 colors, and the others (as well as the new one - the R/G Dragon) are 2 colors, so there is no reason for it to be gold... just a thought
Alternate art? You mean proper art.
It is Jaime Jones.
Does tell us that there are 4 Tokens in ALARA REBORN.
Could someone else confirm this or post a more clear picture? I can't read it at all, it's very blurry.
Another question about tokens and numbering. If there are tokens that were printed earlier in the block (Saprolings, for example), are they included in the numbering?
Edit: 2/2 Black Zombie and 1/1 Green Saproling are confirmed to be reprinted tokens. If there are 5 new unique tokens, my conjecture is that they will be this R/G Dragon, the U/B Zombie Wizard, one G/W creature, one U/W creature, and one R/B creature. Those will account for all of the color words in the orb (considering Sphinx of the Steel Wind's red and green) while also supporting a cycle of allied-pair tokens which push the "all gold" theme.

This is the first time that I can remember WotC having such tight control over the spoilers - should be an interesting experiment to see whether it helps or hurts sales.
If you think there haven't been seasons like this one, you haven't been exposed to very many set releases.
We should probably wait until a couple of weeks after release to assess if they failed or not. This is the first time that I can remember WotC having such tight control over the spoilers - should be an interesting experiment to see whether it helps or hurts sales.
The 'new' Broodmother art is wonderful. Not much else to add, given that we already knew the card...
Um, I wasn't exactly saying the rumor season will be a fail boat (I guess they could be "building it up"), just that WotC fails really bad at taking strangle hold of the spoilers, and then spoiled already spoiled cards.....that THEY spoiled. I understand that they couldn't work around the mongers spoiling cards so they spoiled cards we already knew, but wasn't that half the reason why they did something about people spoiling cards? So that they didn't spoil something we already knew? I know the man who got banned for taking the video that had spoiled nicol bolas'es last ability, and they probably wouldn't have gotten banned if WotC spoiled it beforehand, now would they? Why are they taking out the fun of their own spoilers? This was a really bad move on their part. Spoilers were my absolute favorite thing about magic, I'd quit if I hadn't discovered all the fun casual formats to play.
I'm aware of it being gold, but it's because it's 3 colors, and the others (as well as the new one - the R/G Dragon) are 2 colors, so there is no reason for it to be gold... just a thought
Then there's just as much reasoning for it to have a hybrid templating as a gold template, it's also a hundred times more flavorful in this set for it to have a gold templating.

For people that have the data, yeah.
Which is, um. Wizards. Maybe some of the major dealers, if they care enough to ask their competitors and those guys are nice enough to share data?
Summary: Not for us it won't be cause we'll never know about it.

Tarmogoyf has no evasion, yet it sees tonnes of play. What makes this any different?
Well if you want an indication on sales long term, like I stated earlier, you can always use Saviors as an example... if the sealed Booster Boxes selling for below retail even today are any indication, Saviors of Kamigawa didn't sell all that well.
Later down the road if the same thing happens to Alara Reborn, we can figure out that it didn't sell all that well. Or if Wizards suddenly fires a bunch of people we could also perhaps use that as an indicator of declining sales at the company as a whole. But yeah outside of Saviors we really don't have much of an indication on sales.
Between Malfegor for Conflux and Broodmother for Alara Reborn, wizards is setting a dangerous precedent of picking the really bad art for the Prerelease card. The art we have on the spoiler, which is apparently from the prerelease card, is significantly worse than this art.

this alternate art of Dragon Broodmother is brilliantly done by Jaime Jones. Progenitus was already an awesome piece of art done. Now Dragon Broodmother.
Can we have an alternate art for Karrthus akin to how he looked in the webcomic "Flight of the White Cat?"

WotC doesn't care about spoiling cards for MTGSalvation - if they did, they'd just spoil every card in the set half a year in advance.
Well, they're not spoiling it for salvation they're spoiling it for everyone (both meanings intended). And they do care about spoiling the set because it hypes up the new set, which makes people want to buy from the set more, because makes people overly excited about it.
But whatever they're trying to do now is just horrible, I hate this. I'm not excited about a single new card. However, all these cards seem like they're just stuff to tide us over until they really want to spoil the cards to get us in. But whatever time frame they're doing it in is pretty bad, I mean it's coming out in less than two weeks, is 22 cards really enough for being this close to the PR? The rumor mongers on salvation have always made me very happy and excited about the new set, and I just don't feel the same way, AT ALL.

Yes. Atrocious preview card. Great art. Should've just been an additional little spoiler thing.

Cute li'l baby dragon is cute!
I definitely like the regular art better. I can see some sort of combo being borne out of this.

This. I really would have liked the good art to be on the promo card. But at least now I can get more of the good looking ones.
