If you've got a Knight of New Alara in play, and then drop a Jund Hackblade, is your Jund Hackblade (for two mana!) a 6/5 creature with haste? Because if so, daaaaamn!!

no, the hackblade would just be a 3/2 with haste... it doesn't get +1/+1 for each color in a card, or however it was that you figured it to be a 6/5....

He figured it will be 6/5 since he has Knight of New Alara in play
Oh, and speaking on art: Pale Recluses' artwork horrifies me and I will get no sleep tonight. That is the first artwork on a spider creature which has made me paranoid (Yes I have arachnaphobia, specifically of brown recluse spiders XD).
I totally dig the Thought Hemorrhage art. Excellent contrast from what r/b art usually looks like.
Also, does it seem to anyone else that the artists were given the direction to include colors not normally found on cards of that color? Soulquake shows a grassy hill along with the effect. Thought Hemorrhage is very white in the background. Jund Hackblade is clearly pictured in a Bant setting. Even Nemesis of Reason seems to be a bit sunnier than b/u art usually is. This is going to be an interesting set to look at, for sure.

ah crap, I missed the knight's ability entirely... damnit.... okay yeah it would be a 6/5 with haste... lovely and for 2 mana no less... good times....

I agree, especially with the not-so-usual mix of the card colours and the artwork. It's a shame that card isn't called Exsanguination though, because that's such a badass sounding name for a card.

Yep, that Knight is looking better and better I reckon!
Seeing Terminate's art officially confirmed makes me sad...NO MORE KITHKIN!!!! Please WoTC...if anyone else submits Kithkin-oid people in their arts, reject them! One of my favorite cards of all time insulted with such terrible art...

I am sorry, but both the vaporized individual and the person in the art for Terminate strike me as being humans, but that is just my perspective of the art....

All humans short, chubby and short-limbed where you come from? I'm utterly excited it's back, but I might be having to use some DCI Terminates. In other news, the Pale Recluse is probably the only art I dislike other than Terminate.

I am sorry, but, are you looking at the same Terminate I am? The character in the background is not chubby, he is well muscled. He is not short... or rather there is no frame of reference to determine whether he is short or not. Nevermind the fact that his arms aren't easy to determine the length of either considering they are bent, as well as in rather bulky looking armor!
I will agree with you though, the art is not particularly fascinating. I personally prefer the classic terminate (with Darigaaz throwing himself into a volcano) due to flavor reasons.

Seems fairly 50/50, Ethercaste Knight, Bituminous Blast and Pale Recluse are fairly color-art matching, and the ones you've pointed out are not.
Also, I think Thought Hemorrhage is one of the reasons I play this game, the art clearly defines MTG players as a mature audience.

Yes, I completely agree, that art.... is so definitely R-Rated
On a similar note, given how the art to colors design is turning out, it really should be interesting to see how Slave of Bolas turns out when we finally do get the correct spoiler for that card...

Regardless, I really like all the art revealed. Thought Hemorrhage is especially nice.

It's a 6/5, since Knight would give it +3/+3.

I hate how thoroughly the reminder text on Pale Recluse misrepresents its typecycling abilities.
And Soulquake looks so.... cartoony.
Marisi's Twinclaws is badass, though.
