Agreed to the guy who said that CC was bad. Please play more AAA limited with higher ranked players if you think that is the case.
When you see CC into CC into Scourge Devil with even more targets (crappy Undead Leotau is good from the GY), you'll see why. You'll lose very fast.
Heh, so I guess the guys playing at Worlds weren't high ranking players? I may very well agree with you, but when some pro players consider something being good, it's usually because it's worked for them.
Corpse Coneissuer is good in limited. why? because shards is full of timmy cards and its okay to use higher casting things. especially unearth. and also, CC typicaly pulls out something relatively cheap so you can unearth something a little more expensive and something inexpensive.
esperzoa - on paper, esper isnt all that powerful. probably because WotC didnt want another mirrodin. looks like they're pushing the borders with this bad boy.
Extractor Demon - again, corpse coneissuer. i just dont see WotC nerfing CC anytime soon, let alone the next set. tho this would be a much better replacement.
bant dread: punish the wicked lol. take a black effect and use it in a gwu way. this just makes me angry at bant more... nerfing black for bant.

You misinterpreted what I wrote, but that's probably because I think I missed a comma in there.
I was agreeing with the guy who quoted the guy who said CC was bad. CC is very good. I may not think it's entirely first pickable like others but it's up there.

I'm bad at magic, you're bad at magic, and Level 4 Pro Ari Lax is terrible at magic.
sigh another almost good but not quite black rare... i understand that black historically has always been a great color but so far shards block is overcompensating. I hope we find a black creature worth playing in this set that isn't 3 colors...
Is Esperzoa what we need to make Maralen and Mindlock work?
Yes! Whiles its still not disruption proof and requires a lot of mana this is a great addition to the combo. By stacking the search, then the bounce you could get rid of the orb for your turn, search for what you need, then replay it at the end of the turn. Very nice.
Esperzoa: A-. Yes, it is insane with Sanctum Gargoyle, but otherwise it is merely OK. Extractor Demon: A+. A 5/5 flyer for 6 mana? Good. With unearth? Great. With the ability... Giltspire Avenger: A. This is a 2/2 that can kill any creature that deals damage to you. That is not red. Or black. Regardless, it is very nice.
Extractor Demon - very solid stats with evasion for its cost. Unearth is a great bonus. The mill ability is a touch to unearth. You can either chip at your opponent's deck or mill yourself to get your unearth guys.
Giltspire Avenger - Reciprocate on a stick (okay... maybe not the removing part). Not really sure about that... I mean, this ability hasn't really clicked to any extent if I remember correctly. Also, the colors of the casting cost doesn't really feel right. Exalted is a nice with something that sits and wait...
Esperzoa - 4 power 3cc flyer is very good. The drawback can be used as an engine for comes into play abilities or bouncing locking artifacts or maybe something for Reaper King...
I think it's practically a given that Esperzoa is playable in constructed, but the real importance of it is that it pushes Sanctum Gargoyle to the point where it might be playable as well. I'm very excited to finally get some use out of the Master of Etherium, as the deck has been lackluster so far. Between Esperzoa and Path to Exile, I think we could finally see Esper produce some quality results.

Forever known, whenever said, ancient rhyme, forgotten dead.
If Esperzoa is real, the very first thing I thought it would fit into was pretty much any legacy Stax deck. A 4/3 flyer I can play on turn 2 that lets me return Tangle Wire to my hand every turn? Where do I sign up?
Didn't think of Sanctum Gargoyle; that's even stupider in limited =-/ I already have issues with Esper recursion...
Oh yeah, and its makes Mana Crypt even more broken for Vintage. I can see it in Stax or a MUD+u build easily.
The demon is ok if not just for the unearth cost and a late game option is some kind of unearth rock type deck that nets you tons of card advantage
throw vigilance onto giltspire and it would be much better and make it like a 2/4 instead so yeah he sucks imo, amazing in limited though, another fairly fun bant colored card
clearly esperzoa is insane, great card there, have master of etherium an etherium sculptor him and that draw a card make all your lands into one type thing in hand and you play zoas for 2 mana, theyre 5/4's and draw a card each turn for 1 mana, sanctum if they kill your stuff. could make for a very powerful rock style deck

giltspire and stoic angel seem pretty good together, they lock down threats as they come through and generate tempo and virtual card advantage. Add finks to compensate for life loss, counter the removal as it comes, and you've got the game under control. Add the new manarhino and Bant is looking mighty good!
I really can't believe only 1 other person has mentioned Extractor Demon in Dredge. This guy would be a house in most Extended builds of Dredge - he comes back from the graveyard for cheap, swings for five in the air (and there have been numerous games where I attack with my army of zombies... only to fall short of the magic number of 20), and he might just help you keep going by milling yourself for either 4 or 6 more cards (I picked these numbers because Dread Return is the most likely way you're going to dump a large number of creatures into the 'yard) (sadly, The Demon often wont count himself for milling purposes if you sac him to Dread Return, as Unearth removes him from the game instead)
So, Esperzoa is one of the (iirc) eight cards spoiled on the visual spoiler that's now up on the Wizards site... so you people that know how to and can bring the images up to the partial spoiler on here for everyone to enjoy
p.s. sorry if this post's in the wrong spot - I'm kinda new to the forums.

There is already a whole thread for the minisite-scans.
Reading the card as it is on Wizards page, Extractor Demon is a leaves play trigger, so it would trigger from himself (I think, could be wrong). More importantly, he mills even under remove from game effects. Just my 2 cents.
Nevermind, re-reading he states "another creature" d'oh

Your reading it right.
This thing has Grixis unearth waiting for it to kick but... If you tie this with Blink then your looking a a speed mill that is hard to kill. Even thought Mistmeadow Witch is one color off from pure Grixis but Turn to mist would make it worth it, and for one less mana. But if you tie this with Saporlings and Husk and Grave Pact. That spells lots of loss on your opponites side. And with that you will not need more then just the unearth cost. But Casual at most.

For the Love of God play Wrath already!!!...... What your playing green Well then Play.......
My instincts tell me that Extractor Demon is a card to watch, if not for Dredge than because when applied properly it can mill the opponent's deck outright in one turn.
The demon became a "little" better with the new rats that came around. I mean, of course it's not bad if you can put him in play for sure, but who cares to discard a flier with double 5 and unearth 2c?
If it fits my curve good enough, I'll dump anything into my graveyard if I think I can play it quick enough.
Especially with the new Rotting Rats, the demon is an ugly 5 damage on turn 3. I already have a sort of Blightning/Unearth deck planned that uses Rotting Rats and Hidden Horror to dump stuff into the grave, then unearth and swing when the time is right. Rotting Rats fits into the curve the same place Oona's Prowler would, while evening out any card advantage the opponent might have, and leads into a turn 3 Extractor Demon.
Then you try to curve into turn 5 Demigod, turn 6 hardcast Extractor. Seems sum good to me. Also, an unearthed 5 to the face makes Toast cry, which is my primary goal these days.

Special thanks to Spider Boy 4 for this amazing work
It's an artifact itself; if you don't run other artifacts, it'll just keep bouncing itself.

It's an Artifact Creature.
