This card is much better than Predator Dragon. It's not even close really.
Let's see... I pay 3RR for a 6/6 flyer that kills your Chameleon Colossus on the way down or 3RRR for an 8/8 flyer with haste. You may see this as a close comparison, but it's not. The difference is in the opportunity given to your opponent. A big Predator can be stopped with anything from Terror to Condemn to Snakeform and you get NOTHING. Predator is "just a guy". It's a big guy with haste, but it's still "just a guy".
Voracious does it's thing when it hits play. Any leftovers, in this case a 6/6 flyer, is just a bonus. This is a 6/6 flying Flametounge Kavu that can also send it's damage to the face! And in some cases, that damage can be as much as ten! To the face!
Other than the fact that both cards have Devour, in fuction, they aren't at all similar.
While I agree that they function very differently, they really are equal in power. Predator Dragon gets +2/+2 for each creature, regardless of who it is. Yes he costs one more, but if they can't answer him immediately, and you devour enough creatures, they're sunk. In the right deck, I can see this guy being slightly better, but the inability to swing right away is painful, and the fact that he has half the power predator dragon does hurts just as much. The CIP ability is the only reason he might be more useful, if in the right deck.

I edit my posts a lot after submitting them. Deal with it.
I'm wondering how this will play out in Extended with Empty the Warrens or just Goblins in general. Seething Song this guy into play and that can just end games. Fecundity in play and you draw X cards and do 2X damage to a player. Sick sick stuff.
It has a home in Jund Tokens no less because Jund has direct access to goblins and goblin tokens.
Yes, yes, true... I just thought that Jund Tokens relies on Saprolings as well as Goblins, but I don't really know very much about the deck. There are many ways to make Goblins without a Goblin deck.

What would you attempt... if you knew you could not fail?

Other than a finisher in Goblin decks, I don't see much future for it... but it is a very good finisher in a Tribal Goblin deck.
