You may play Worldheart Phoenix from your graveyard by paying :symw::symu::symb::symr::symg: rather than paying it's mana cost. If you do, it comes into play with two +1/+1 counters on it.
The wording is odd. It seems to suggest that you can play it from your graveyard by paying it´s mana cost. In that case it doesn´t get the counters.
That probably isn´t what it actually does, but the wording seems to indicate that. Also, the phrase "play ~ from your graveyard" is a bit odd.
The ability says that you can play this from your graveyard. This is an option available to you. But to do this, a choice you must make when playing the spell is to pay WUBRG rather than the mana cost (as an alternative cost). Moreover, you can pay this other cost only when you are playing it from the grave.
It all follows from what's written.
As for power level... it's a Red flier, so in some sense it would have to be on the order of 2/2 for four... but yeah... even a repeatable creature, if the price tag is WUBRG every time... it's not really anything special. If it was straight Red, good times. But it's just a trap.
It's power level will mostly hinge on what 'domain' has to offer in draft. This could be a good way to round out inevitability in some 5c deck.

I'm also intrigued by what this wording might mean for other cards in this block. The way they worded that may be just a mis-spoil, or it may truly be worded like that on purpose... which means we should see some interesting 'Yard fetcher in this set.

This one is awesome flavor-wise but im still not conviced on producing five colors easily in limited since the pickings may be slim for fixing and putting one of each other color may slow you down, but it you can pull it off its a great recuring creature

But anyway, I'm glad people are not being too hostile with this card because in the first place, it's ability is cool. Very Vorthos-cool. And Casual players will really love this card, like me.
Competitiv-wise, I honestly can't vouch for its viability, but I believe a deck that utilizes domain with a few useful sac outlets could make this card powerful. Not bad, given a big body (when resurrected through domain), flying, and reusable sac fodder.

Wouldn't having an indestructible 2/2 flyer for 3B not be a little broken?
I mean, if you can play it from your graveyard for its normal cost, it is unkillable (or the next best thing).
I also found the wordings a little vague and I also thought you could play both mana costs with the +1/+1 bonus for the more difficult one... but that would make the card too good to be true, wouldn't it?
This card has potental in RDW as well as domain decks.
If I am reading it right you can still pay 3R and still get a 2/2 at instant speed, and mulldrifter is a card to deal with a lot with 5CC. So I don't think there wil be a probelm with this thing seeing play in T2 or other type decks that run red.
In limited this thing you have to crack or get lucky enough to get passed it to ever see it in one of your decks, This thing will rock standard, and I hope to see this with a few other Rares on the Pre-Relase, to bad only one rare per pack though (lol)

You're unfortunately reading it wrong, and therefore, you are wrong twice.
First, it can be PLAYED from the graveyard, not put into play. Therefore it must obey normal timing rules for playing creatures.
Second, the resurrection is possible ONLY for the WUBRG, not for the normal price.

I don't like the art very much. Molten Firebird, or even the "burning U.F.O." >>>> this. Maybe it would look better as a wallpaper, but on the card, it looks like just an orange smear in the middle.
Whoa. The artwork for this is gorgeous. This is what a phoenix is supposed to look like, not the flaming parrots they've been printing since, well, forever. Don't even get me started on Shard Phoenix. The foil is going to be incredible.
I'm sorry but this card is just a huge bomb in my opinion. Limited gives you recursion. Constructed this can be returned with Reveillark and through its own recursion mechanic. I like Corpse Connoisseur with this to jam it into the graveyard and then pop it into play. The only downside I think to this card is the fact you are playing the card from the graveyard which basically means it's Sorcery speed

Also, every card with flashback.

I Logged in just to ask the same thing.
1. The wording is not Oracle, or how it will be printed when the set comes out.
OR
2. Indeed there is some new rule, mechanic, or card that allows cards to return from graveyard with just their CC.
Is there a card that allows you to unearth other player's cards?
I really need to play more with the current sets.
Edit: I just now read the post on playing cards from the graveyard per the post after the one I cited.
You can counter spells played from the graveyard?! ?!
...But the traditional UU Counterspell (proper card) is no where to be seen. RIGHT.
Man am I getting old in the life of this game.

But if it is as what Horseshoe_Hermit suggested, then i guess it is probably not too bad.. but not too amazing either.
Personally I think the wording would read clearer if it was:
"You may play Worldheart Phoenix from your graveyard by paying either it's mana cost, or :symw::symu::symb::symr::symg:.
If you paid :symw::symu::symb::symr::symg: to play Worldheart Phoenix from your graveyard, it comes into play with two +1/+1 counters on it."
