I'm gonna go with Wall of reverence on this one... I mean, reverance pretty much means a gestrure of respect, so it would make sense for it to gain life of a chosen creature.
Really? I don't think this card is powerful at all. If it had haste then yes, I'd say it's worth it, but come on =\
Be careful, someone will take this seriously...
This is probably Wall of Reverence (from the checklist) and a Naya card. The big creatures on Naya, the "gargantuans", are worshiped as gods by many there.
While this card doesn't specifically reward you for playing with creatures of 5 or more power, it's not much of a stretch
I think that Malfegor or Dreadwing is actually kinda playable. A one sided wrath late game can do wonders, and a 6/6 to boot ain't anything to scoff at. Still, he'll need to find a deck and what deck could that possibly be....

Phylactery Lich will forever be known, to me at least, as Pimpin' Lich. Get up on it, suckas.
Conflux has...a wall?
Apparently this flew in on the cold breeze...
? 3W
Creature - ? (U?)
Defender, flying
At the end of your turn, gain life equal to the power of a creature you control. 1/6
Wow, this is insane in limited. It works great in a variety of white-based archetypes (Bant Exalted, Naya 5-power, etc) and gives your deck plenty of reach while blocking damn near everything.
Much appreciated
As for the Super Sac Dragon, I think it sounds really interesting with Unearth and Retrace mechanics, and is actually a house in Jund Ramp vs creature decks. However, that deck does just fine against creature decks (the charm pwns quite nicely), and I'm not sure this is what they need versus 5C or Faeries. I mean, discarding a Violent Ultimatum or Resounding Thunder for a 'free' Cruel Edict doesn't seem like a fair trade to me, but playtesting will figure out its true worth.
Chances are Phyrexian Arena only sat out 10th because of Bitterblossom. So that really could come back...
Wizards would probably be OK with both in Standard for a few months. It'd be good in some strategies, but I don't even know if it would be too good.
Man I hope you are right, I have been pondering the same for quite a while now.
Basically the dragon spells sick with the Arena out in play.
Too bad it costs 4. It could have seen play in constructed at 3... As of now, it would never last long. I'm also inclined to believe that it won't even see SB play against RDW, since it doesn't do much on it's own, and Everlasting Torment says no. Oblivion Ring would be better off the top in every situation. (I would have preferred Faith's Fetters getting reprinted instead of ANY of the other reprints... ew.)
Otherwise, bomb in limited. Definitely an uncommon methinks...
The Dragon reminds me of Avatar of Discord: beastly stats, but too much card disadvantage to find an effective home. It certainly makes a much better topdeck, though. I don't expect it'll see constructed play; I'd be pleased if I were proven wrong, but I don't see it happening.
As for the Wall, it's flat-out insane in limited. You're not getting jack through it unless the attacker's enormous or you've got some additional removal in hand. I don't know about it for constructed, though. At 3 it would've certainly seen play and been extremely annoying; at 4 it's probably just a little too slow. That might change after rotation, though...this seems like something that could be pretty good in a meta without wither, Everlasting Torment, and Stigma Lasher.

this man speaks truth.
on both accounts. I believe the dragon could easily find a home, especially if they bring back the madness mechanic. which i dont think is that much of a stretch because of the reprint of the cycle mechanic.
as for the wall, limited bomb. and in stanard could surely be boarded for rdw
GB Elves <-man I hate this deck, it has a 50/50 matchup against Tier 1/2 but loses to jank aggro most of the time. UB Faeries <-only reason it's good is because of all those people that's still playing 5CC. WB Tokens <-so boring, there's only 2 ways to play this deck. RB Blightning <-Autopilotting you to victory 0-2 drop.
???B Super Secret Tech <-dude, this thing is nuts! 90/10 against all matchups.
Rakka Mar sounds like the name of a legendary land (Mar = sea in spanish)
Rakka Mar appears in the flavor text of Jund aligned cards like Branching Bolt and Vicious Shadows. He/she is definitely a Jund aligned legendary creature.
This just seems like one of those cards that is just going to swing games more often than not. You get to force the sacrifice when you want and it's probably going to be for at least 1 or 2 here. Free Edict's as it has been said in this thread a bunch of times, are very good. Especially as you drop an evasive win condition into play.
And then hope for good top decks.

>!>!>! of the Sea?
I wouldn't dismiss it entirely for future Standard, but four mana is indeed quite steep for a card that can be rendered almost useless in so many ways (flyers, attacker+burn, wither, swarms/tokens, removal). Especially considering it's more of a controllish card, where relying on other creatures for maximum eficiency doesn't help playability.
Seems fun with Sower, though
You're right about the 2BBRR dragon not being a remotely good madness enabler, but the guy who wants 4 of it because it's a dragon probably doesn't mind.
Can I get everyone's dragon? I really believe that the dragon is awesome!
Play fast cheap removal, hand disruption and such, esp Mind Shatter, forced to counter if playing blue, and if the opponent knows you are playing the Shatter then they pump out As fast as possible! Boom Dragon hits, 2-4 cards go from hand and so your opposition is now limited.
I love this card so much! definitely getting a playset and gonna play it.
BlackRed dragons for life! hehehe
I dig the wall, that should be a lot of fun in limited, probably playable in EDH at least.
As for the dragon, we'll see. I'd need to play with it before I pass judgment, I guess..

A card game about Presidents. Stabbing each other. With knives.
If Wall of Reverence reflects the level of "faeries fixing" we can expect from Conflux, I sorely suggest you start hoarding those Bitterblossoms now before they hit $50.
At four mana, the thing falls smack-dab in the face of both countermagic and creature removal. Heck, even Spellstutter Sprite can take one of these down by the time it becomes enabled. With a Scion of Oona in play, this cannot even kill the Bitterblossom token it blocks, and doesn't stop your opponent from swarming you, or stealing your turns with Mistbind Clique.
But the biggest spit in the face is the fact you actually need an additional, high-power creature to actually make the lifegain count. The largest creature you can safely resolve against Faeries is a 3/x; not nearly enough to stem the loss of life from the faerie swarm.
If Wall of Reverence is an "answer" hoping to stall until the Bitterblossom player bleeds out, it fails miserably at its task. It is a little better against DDW, but with Wither and Stigma Lasher in the format, it will find itself being irrelevant too often.
Keep 'em coming, Team Zesty! I'm starting to get holiday depression over some cards here, but that's hardly your fault. Merry christmas!

People hiss and grunt at Mark Rosewater for the state of the game. Few realize, though, that it is Aaron Forsythe who is directly responsible of the current state of affairs due to negligence as head of Magic R&D and a completely skewed view of the game as a whole.
So next time you want to make an avvy with Rosewater pissing on something, take a deep breath and consider pasting Forsythe's face there instead...

Where does it spoil that the Wall is the definite hoser for faeries?
we only have 11 cards spoiled.
I believe that the hoser will be something like Engineered plague on a creature instead of global -1/-1 it will say something like whenever a creature comes into play, each other creature gets -1/-1 that player controls? -b u t t h a t i s o f f t o p i c .
The wall is actually pretty annoying... most kill cards deal with toughnes, guess terror will see a hell of a lot play now, seeing as bant is really getting annoying.

I don't even think it is meant to beat faeries at all. It's pretty obvious that it is ineffective in that sense. I'm just glad we still get walls. They make me feel nostalgic.
The Wall isn't a Faeries hoser but it is a pretty decent anti-aggro card. Some 5c decks already play Plumeveil. While this can't be used as a Flash blocker, it does have a bigger butt and built-in lifegain.

This deserves his own thread for discuss, its soo good in limited and maybe playable in some way of constructed.
And the dragon is very good too, its not that best but is original (more than the Domain theme lol) and synergistic so i loved it =)
